Credit to them for being loyal to this program. Kudos to both of them come playing their hearts out tonight as well.

Kadeem catches a lot of flak on here for a low basketball iq, and he is an easy target some of the time. While he can be enigmatic with decision making and some of the criticism may be warranted, he has played hard all season, has been known to be in the gym by himself working on his game at midnight, and by all accounts is a solid citizen and a class representative of the school. Also probably the most talented player on the team and regardless of opinions on this board, his har work and offense will be missed.

Myles is an all time player here, and a fearless leader and warrior. Maximized his talent and played his ass off despite having likely the biggest burden in the league. He deserved better than he had here.

Just wanted these two to be recognized before the shitstorm of negative posts coming now that this season is mercifully over.

Good post. Think Kadeem has gotten killed too much. Lewis had 2 early fouls and did nothing tonight. Not much help. And thanks also to Myles.

Thx to both Mack & Jack and KONE.

Fearless leaders don't jog back on defense, get beat, and then tell at teammates. Stop it with the ridiculous praise. You are what your record is.

Good post Doctor Crip'
My thanks to Kadeem and Myles for being loyal RU men .
Both are a credit to Rutgers University and the RU MBB program.

Greene fig, you are so negative. We are praising them for staying. I have seen enough players go starting with Charles jones and Luis Flores. Can we at least give them credit for staying?

+1...

thanks to both.

Sometimes running around the wall or jumping over it makes more sense than running thru it.

I'm glad they stayed and I think they are both outstanding student athletes. Not to mention quality people. I highly doubt there is a Rutgers fan that thinks otherwise. There shouldn't be.

What we actually got on the BB court can be debated. If you didn't want that to be discussed you should have left that part out.

All in on Mack. I actually don't feel it so much for KJ. Glad he stayed, yes. But did not like the way he played this year at all.

Mack and Jack exceedingly loyal bleeding scarlet while dealing with a dumpster fire. They will become better men for what they had to endure here. Good luck to them in their future endeavors

I am sorry to be so negative. I feel basketball is meant to be played a certain way. Frustrated and annoyed to see a guy go through the motions with the ball not in his hands get so much praise. Not sure why Mack is immune, but jack isn't. Quite frankly Mack got under my skin more.

Season ticket holder for many years with the last 5 games still in my season ticket book. It wasn't the losing that kept me away, it was the defensive effort. Tough to root for a team that doesn't put the effort in on 1 side of the court.

Again going to games religiously for many years. This year and Rosario's last year were only years I stopped going.

Greene fig, and I did not mean to call you out. I have watched since 1975 and I am very frustrated.

Rutgers defense Scoring last 8 games:

79

I am grateful that all 4 seniors, Mack, Jack, Kone & Zurich all stayed loyal to RU. I was disappointed when Kadeem arrived late for the breakfast the day of our opening Big 10 game vs. Northwestern. There was no excuse as a senior captain to arrive late. I think it cost us a W that day and it hurt us. I also thought that too often he took outside jumpers when he should have been closet to the basket. Finally about the last 5-6 games he was playing closer to the basket. He seems like a great guy but things didn't work out this year. Hopefully we can do much better next season. Myles will always be one of my favorites. I wish he could have had a true point guard so he could have played off the ball more often. He was constantly covered by a guy 6 inches or more taller than him and was often double teamed when he got the ball. If we only had a couple of other guys who could hit the outside shot we could have won several more games.

Yes, because Jordan tells his team..... Don't play defense.

They don't play D because they were not good enough.

It's amazing.... good players play defense, good players make shots

I think Rutgers will actually improve significantly on defense next season. Think we will be pleasantly surprised!

You could have acknowledged you appricated that they remained loyal to RU and stayed while others left.
That's something I think you could have done and still been disappointed in the way Mack & Jack played.

Unless you much rather they had transferred and felt RU was better off without them on the team.
Then loyalty isn't a factor and how they played ( in your eyes) is the only thing that counts.
It looks like that's the way you feel, to me, after seeing what you posted .

well Judge, Jack, Seagears and Mack seemed to play pretty serviceable defense under Mike Rice..where did that go last year and this. JJ Moore came from Pitt where you had to play D

I felt the rule changes really hurt rutgers' ability to play effective defense.

Seemed during the Rice years they were only effective when they relentlessly fouled and hand checked and harassed the other teams.

Even under the old rules rutgers would usually allow the other teams 30+ fouls shots per game.

With the new rules in place, I think most of the upperclassmen on this team had a hard time effectively defending without fouling.

I think the underclass men on this team have already shown signs of better defensive techniques and have a feeling they will be coachable and eventually able to play defense effectively at a high level.

I admit this may just be wishful thinking though...been a long year...

Thank you Myles, Kadeem, Malik, and Greg for carrying the program through its darkest hour with class, integrity, and effort.

When this thing turns around, you guys will be remembered as the four who stuck with the program and brought it forward.

Best of luck to Myles, Kadeem, and Malik who are graduating this year. I hope you guys have a healthy career in whatever league you end up playing in.

HEY RU_kidding........ rational thinking is not allowed on this board.... lol

GRF, I'm sure you are not an evil person, and are a good fan, but you are so far off base about Mack, and your posts about him make you look bad. You completely ignore all the good he does (like his four steals last night) and just focus on the negative. Mack deserves so much better. He is not a perfect player, but without him, this team would be lucky to have five wins. He deserves the thanks of all real Rutgers fans, and nothing else.
