He asked Willard why were they practicing at Rutgers, during the game.

This was after his head bounced off the floor on the Mathis charge Rutgers up 7-0 and later running into one of his own players .

What is up with this take?

Why would Willard intentionally sit Powell?
And why would Powell sit on his own?

Bad take IMO.

(And no Powell is not an excuse for the result.)

When I read the title I thought he was dissing RU pre game. I read halftime about the circus. That's a bizzare situation and wish him best,

Harper and some of the other RU guys ran this summer at the RAC, right?

I think our guys (particularly Harper) respect Powell.

All the more reason kyk’s take is so stupid.

The charge and collision happened fairly early in the game. According to the APP, the timeout conversation was during the under-16 timeout. Powell played 10+ minutes after that. What was Willard thinking putting him back into the game.

Powell is an awesome player and I was really looking forward to RU bringing it and trying to shut him down today. The way it happened is very unfortunate and I hope he recovers fully and goes on to play at the next level.

Recovery will take awhile, but they only have 2 games in the next 2 weeks so maybe he’ll be back without missing too many games.

Trying to remember the chronology has definitely made me wonder about this. Charge was apparently at score 7-0 which was about 2-3 minutes into the game? Then, was there a separate collision with a teammate several game minutes later? Not sure. I got the impression the sideline conversation with Willard was at around the under 4 timeout before being sent to locker room for evaluation and concussion protocol.

Concussions are tough to come back from. Its not easy for them to clear you to let you play. Hope for the best here because it would be a shame to impact his career going forward
Bac mannnnn. Rewatch the first half lollllllll. Youre gonna laugh. Powells concussion is about as fake as a real housewives from NJ face
