Why am I all of a sudden suspecting MR may be the next guy here.....why no leaks or Rhule talk as good as he appears to be....this is his golden ticket yr yet with all the openings...crickets since the Mizzou turndown.
MULLEN tho I doubt it will happen.

The payouts to Flood and Hermann...without blinking proves they are getting serious...why not finish it out...and get fan base excited and willing to donate more.
Can someone explain why Mullen's name keeps coming up. He's has a job in the best conference and just got a raise. Is he unhappy in Mississippi?
Stop saying Schiano please...not even a bush league candidate quality anymore. We averaged a 4th place BE finish from 2005 thru 2011...and worse if you added the 3-4 years prior. And no BE championships.
He had a great year in 2006 and we never repeated it. Plus not one school in college has offered him a job this year or last...you don't see something wrong with that? Sorry, he had some good qualities and was a great program builder but how he is appearing on some of your lists is unimaginable to me...

Yes, they very much did. In fact, they wanted him when Addazio was hired instead.
I think i'm happy with Ash right now....Rhule will eventually probably end up at you know where after the car salesmen is exposed.lol.. Good for Rhule and Temple for now...refreshing change to see a little appreciation..personally i like his decision...UT is a decent place to coach at.
Sooo.. all these guys had Ash high on their lists..

I would guess some insider knew where this was going. And most of them wouldn't post it here.. but maybe, just maybe, some of these guys are insiders and couldn't help themselves and they masked this leak by putting Mullen and other first on their lists.

I've just got RU on my brain far too often.
I had never heard of Ash before last Monday.
Once I saw his name, I started reading Ohio newspaper articles and watching some videos of him speaking and I was blown away. The more I read, the more I started to salivate. Reading the comments section of those online newspaper articles made me realize tOSU fans really like this guy, so he might be pretty good.
The guy just sounds like a football junkie; like he eats, breathes, and sh*ts football. As Doug from CO/RU said, I felt like I running through a brick wall after just watching his frickin' videos!
Thinking about him talking to our players, the press, recruits, their families, boosters, etc., and comparing that to Flood makes you wonder how did we do as good as we did with Flood last year.
(I don't mean to pile on Flood - I am sure he did his best.)
Everyone's consensus pick was Mullen, and I thought he would be a good candidate, too, but believe it or not, I actually wanted Ash over Mullen. I don't know if Mullen could meet those lofty expectations that would have been heaped on him. He is supposed to be a great recruiter, but I wonder could he recruit just as good here because RUTGERS doesn't have bagmen with $$ like Miss St., and we don't load up on jucos. But he would have been great, too.
I can't wait to see Ash build this program up. It is going to be a hell of a ride, and I will be eating popcorn and watching and loving every damn scarlet minute of it!!!
