I hate ND as much as the next guy here. But I‘m wondering what you all think…will they, can they, stay independent?

Here are some facts…their NBC contract pays them 22 million a year and runs through 2025.

“Twenty-six Big Ten games aired on network television (Fox or ABC) in 2022; those games drew a median of 3.97 million viewers -- nearly 70 percent more than the average Notre Dame game.”…so viewership is weakening for ND

“Notre Dame is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference for most of its sports and has an agreement to play five football games per season against ACC schools. Plus, a clause in Notre Dame’s deal with the ACC would require it to join that league if it decides to give up football independence. That deal runs through 2036.”

Would Stanford and ND round out the BIG’s expansion? Would the ACC somehow break with geography and invite Stanford, California, and ND (and let FSU bolt).
