He's gonna be another hot hot ticket. Could see a blue blood or just below getting him.

He is 6'8''.

We have Duke 6'9'' , Eugene 6'7'' and Carter 6'9''. All are prototype 4s and neither are + shot blockers.

Rayjon Tucker from Little Rock just announced he's transferring. Not starting a thread because there's less than 0% chance Rutgers gets him. But he's your new #1 target for the blue bloods.

Most teams aren't as needy as RU

This is a bug, not a feature. Most grad transfers are looking for a team with which they can make the tournament. The power-conference team with the longest drought is not generally an attractive option.

Then let's stop being fans and ask the school to drop the program.
The response has nothing to do with Rutgers fans but rather what grad transfers are looking for in their last year of eligibility. Its a natural reaction that most grad transfers would want to play for a team that has been successful in the past including NCAA bids.Rutgers dilemma is to attract a grad transfer with the skill set to be productive in a power conference knowing that there will be fierce competition for that type player.

Anyone know the percentage of grad transfers who actually get a Masters or second degree at their new school ? You know, in the extremely unusual majors their present school doesn't offer--like Tibetan Art History, Childhood Education in Celtic, Dog Training for Three-legged Boston Terriers, etc.

I would have agreed with this in years past but I think Pike has more to sell now. He can make an argument that we are one player away and it would be historic to get us to the dance. Yeah you could go to Ohio State or a school like that and go to the tourney, although it is not a lock, lose in the first or second round and be forgotten. Or you can come here and put us over the top, be remembered forever and they might build a statue of you.

I do not think that making the tournament would be as important as “a good chance I will be able to play meaningful minutes in my last year as a college basketball player.”

It’s not much different than recruiting any highly sought-after kid. There’s alway an angle to sell if you have the right mindset and Pike does.

Watch us end up with Marvin Price and a juco. Massoud and Yeboah type transfer just doesn't seem our type of luck

Looks like the first Sestina visit will be Kentucky
