I'm not advocating for personal attacks against any RU wresters but the fact that you and Harley both mention that you shouldn't say anything on a message board that you wouldn't say to one of the wresters face is completely ridiculous. If the wrestlers or parents cant take a little criticism then they shouldn't be reading these boards. Simple as that. And I read every message in this thread and nothing jumped out to me that was really that bad so people need to get a grip here.

There was one post from a guy who everyone knows can act like a real jerk, and that comment has been generalized by a few people (some more dramatic than others) to the entire board. Majority of posters here are respectful, criticize and critique appropriately, and it can make for good discussion until a couple bad apples on both ends completely hijack the thread.

It is now Wednesday morning, we face Illinois in two days and Penn State in four, and we’re all (myself included) still talking about mythical personal attacks that didn’t happen.

Some comments were personal whether you believe it or not and some were taken down as well so no wonder you don’t see them ....I could care less about criticism but over the top comments are not necessary and more then one person saw them and addressed them ...just because you don’t see them doesn’t mean they weren’t there ...I already showed a couple of them and also showed a couple other guys reacting to them the same way I did ...you wanna bury your head and condone it that’s on you

None of the dynamics here are any different than what you see on any fan site. Just keep in mind these aren’t professional athletes getting paid millions. They’re accomplished student athletes busting their asses off competing in a grueling sport while balancing academic workload for our enjoyment. We should do our best to show them the respect they deserve. It costs us nothing to be respectful and act like a decent human being.
