No. 6 Rutgers Men's Lacrosse Opened Big Ten Play with No. 8/9 Ohio State Sunday

17-7 after cashing in on an EMO. I think we can empty the bench for the 3rd game in a row now. Hopkins, you're our next victim.

Based on scoreboard watching expected a 2 goal game … love seeing OSU get a butt whooping!!!!

What a team victory. Not even sure what to say. Absolutely dominating at every level.

great win!.....was worried early when down 3-0..........but really kicked it up whole lotta notches
bring on the hoppers

I don’t like airing program dirty laundry. Let’s just say there isn’t a coach that Brian wants to beat more than Myers.
In that case....a specific congrats to Brian. I didn't see the game and I don't know that much about lacrosse but it sounds like a game where there was A LOT of good coaching going on for our guys today (comeback. adjustments...). Go RU!!!

I knew we’d go on a run. I didn’t know it would a 15-4 run.

The D really stepped up today. Created turnovers, limited looks, and held them to 8 goals below their average. Once we started controlling them on D our offense just fed off of it. Our shooting today was very good and NASCAR was a thing of beauty. Our Dmids, poles and all, just are just so savvy in the middle of the field. They understand how to generate open looks so well. And the attack was finishing almost everything. Couldn’t be more proud of them. Just an incredible team win. We are getting better at the right time.

Face offs didn’t hurt either today … if only a FO stud wanted to lead RU to their first national team title :).

Next victim, please...which is Hopkins. I like that we're getting Hopkins off of a win and not a loss so they won't be super desperate. Handle our business next Sunday night and we will be 2-0 in B1G play before the measuring contest at College Park.

Looks like the defensive game plan was to force them to beat us 1:1. Early on the D was getting stuck in no-man’s-land by sort of half sliding. Once they cleaned that up in the second quarter, OSU clearly didn’t have the athletes to beat our D 1:1. Kirst was just filthy.

Dugenio was outstanding and I am loving the wing play and overall middle of the field hustle. I love that we can scrap or finesse with anyone. That’s pretty rare.

So many weapons on offense, defenses can’t really key on any one player. It’s crazy to think that Gallagher and Jacoby are consistently drawing shorties, but you really have no choice but to put the pole on Knobloch.

Jacoby's not bad for a D3 player

Cant take Hopkins, Michigan, or Penn State lightly. All are teams we are better than, but are capable of springing upsets. We have put ourselves in position for the bye in the Big Ten tournament and an at large bid. Now just take care of business.

Yep. One game at a time at this point. Let's take care of business vs Hopkins next Sunday night.

Before beating OSU I thought our losses were going to be UMD, OSU and then a WTF loss from JHU/Mich/PSU to finish 4th.

Beating OSU is a great first step and one step closer to finishing 2nd. If RU avoids the WTF loss they will be 2nd. One WTF probably gets them 3rd.

i thought I recalled it being discussed here there was NO love lost btw these programs.

Loved the FO work especially the wing play.

Shitting down Myers was key. Stop him and the tOSU offense has to adjust in ways it’s not capable of yet. Glad we got them early.

Revenge game against Hopkins. Need w’s especially since Cuse beat Duke - everyone will be back in their jock lol.

Yea definitely no love lost. We are 12-3 all time vs OSU and have won 4 in a row against them.

On to Hopkins. This is serious time now. Enjoy this one and get back to work. This is a mature team. They get it.

We play like this next Sunday and I have a hard time seeing how Hopkins stays with us. I hope we run them off the field.
