No. 7 Rutgers Rowing Set to Compete in NCAA Championships Friday, May 28 through Sunday, May 30

RU 2V8 finishes 3rd in their heat behind Texas and California. So we move on to the Repechage later today to see if we can move on the the Semi-finals.

what happened to our semi at 8:36? no race and they just picked up with the 8:48 race?

I could be wrong, but this has to be the first time in team history that RU has a boat in the Championship Race at the NCAA Tourney. Even if they finish dead last in it tomorrow, it'll be huge experience moving forward.

Great job. Our 1st 8 is elite. We are not coming in last tomorrow. I predict 4th being inched out of third place

Saw some RU fans in FL for Day 2 of the races during the 1V8 delay. Wonder if the RU Tampa Bay Alum group is there for the races.

Delays in the race. RU 1V8 just punched their ticket to the Grand Finals with a 3rd place finish in the Semis!!! Almost beat Michigan for 2nd place but defeated OSU, Bama, and Cuse.
Would love to have beaten Michigan. Thought we were going to take them. Very glad we beat OSU which had beaten us in the Big Championships. Congrats Ladies! GO RU!

Wouldn't surprise me if the 1V4 boat wins the Consolation race and finishes 7th overall tomorrow. A little disappointing that they couldn't get into the Championship race as it would've been excellent experience but I like their chances to finish 7th overall which would be ahead of their 9th place seed. We will definitely finish with a trophy tomorrow (10th place or better).

impressive showing to get a boat in the premier event and three into the semis ... if in the B final can you finish higher than 7th?

Hey, I was there! My wife and I drove up from Ft. Myers and stayed overnight in Sarasota. It was fun to be a part of this. We met some wonderful Rutgers people!!! My voice is horse from yelling...unfortunately we're going to miss tomorrows races but we'll watch the live stream. Good luck ladies!

I went to the NCAA championships in 2013 to watch my daughter row and I was shocked at how tall and built most of these girls from the elite programs were. Alabama in particular.

That being said, rowing is one of the worst sports to go watch your kid participate in. Other than the tailgating it’s quite boring except for the 10 seconds their boat goes by

How do they determine the final national standing? Is it some composite of all three boats' results?
