TBH to me, the Bader or Taylor decision is flip a coin. Or maybe paper scissors rock if that is your preference. Why is Bader playing?
If you are talking about Alvarez, that guy seems to be made of body armor. He got a hit, wish his haters would get off his jock already.Remember in the day the trainer would just come out and spray the guys arm or leg with some can of aerosol ice or something
Are you saying they are going to pass the Maton?Mets will soon have to make a decision on whether to pick up Maton's $7.5M option. I think the decision just got easier.
Because he was 3 for 3 against Yamomoto when we faced him in the regular season. I get it. But a lot of guys on the team did things previously that they're unable to do in this series. I can't even be mad at this point. Just not good enough to beat them. They're main guys have obviously outperformed the ones who are supposed to be our main guys. But outside of that so have their supporting players. Remember this is the same team that came into Citi in May and swept us leading to the much talked about team meeting that preceded our turnaround. Time for the who stays who goes discussion soon. Why is Bader playing?
Well not all of them. There was the double play he hit into last night. Winker should have hit for him or JD. But I guess they shot their shot there with bases loaded no out. And again it was another airball. 😔OMG magic officially worn off. How many bases loaded at bats this series? How many K’s
And kept Vogelbach! 🤣If only we’d played Torrens.
This is a very excellent and thorough summation. Getting to and winning the World Series is always the goal, but considering the weaknesses the Mets have, they did well to advance two rounds to the NLCS.As teams go deeper in the playoffs, weaknesses become more and more of a liability. With the Mets we see that in their hitting. The Mets hitters are all in a slump save Vientos and Lindor. They also have poor plate discipline and too often swing at pitches out of the strike zone. This allows the Dodger pitchers to take chances throwing pitches out of the strike zone in crucial at bats. The Dodgers on the other hand have really good plate discipline and rarely swing at pitches out of the strike zone. This puts pressure on Mets pitchers to throw strikes and gives the Dodgers a better chance to capitalize on every scoring opportunity. We have seen that play out thus far in this series... Mets have come away from bases loaded with less than 2 outs on multiple occasions without scoring runs and the Dodgers seemingly have scored every time they had runner in scoring position. Mets bullpen has also been exposed.
My guess is that if the Dodgers will win this series, but their lack of starting pitching depth will be exposed against the Yankees.
Can't agree with first sentence. There is no way in hell the Mets will win this series now.
It was a great run for the Mets and I thank them for it.
Let’s hope that they do well in the offseason with so much money coming off the books.
Totally agree. There are two types of Mets (and Rutgers) fans:Can't agree with first sentence.
I have been following sports long enough to know that any sentence that begins with "There is no way in hell that..." just ain't true. Ever. No matter what the rest of the sentence is.
Which is why we love sports.
Still licking his balls? Get over him already LMFAO.And kept Vogelbach! 🤣
There is no finite in sports, just ask read option. 😁Can't agree with first sentence.

Yeah at least going down with Winker instead of JD.It may be too little too late, but I am glad the manager is going with a lefty lineup tonight.
