I thought we were done after last night. We've got more than a shot Sunday - our ace going and the Dodgers have a bullpen game and can't use Honeywell.
For Christ's sake though - NO JD MARTINEZ. START WINKER.
And Alvarez needs to channel tonight's approach at the plate to the rest of the series.

Mets season in a nutshell-back to the wall but still fighting
I went to Games 3 and 4. Disasters !
Was exhausted so stayed home today and watched a gutty never say die win ! So happy crowd was electric and reflected Never Say Die Attitude !
So happy Mendoza played Winker and McNeil today and I hope he stays with this lineup in LA. No easy outs in this lineup!

Should flown early Sunday and watch the games on your laptop or if a local bar has them watch it there.

It was a great game against clearly the best team standing in the Final Four. It would've been a crying shame if this great season ended with 3 straight home losses. This thread would've been invaded by the usual douche bags we haven't seen since early June. It isn't over as many of us can see a path to a possible game#7, where anything is possible. ⚾LFGM!
We have a punchers chance tomorrow … but I’m concerned our pitching staff is running on fumes / understably so. Even if we win tomorrow I have no confidence in Severino for a game 7, but maybe we start Senga then and do a bullpen game (if anyone’s available). I’m thinking we made a mistake in adding acuna instead of ottavino, but hindsight is 20/20
Now that we know who the AL opponent is, I pose a question. Which outcome would you prefer?
1) Mets defeat Dodgers, but lose to AL opponent.
2) Mets lose to Dodgers, who defeat AL opponent.
I know that (1) is the "correct" answer. But damn, 2000 really sucked.
Thoughts? Obviously we'd all prefer the unnamed Option 3, but for this exercise let's limit it to the two.
