DFA'd. Rhymes with Still Got Paid.
I believe that if the Mets do become sellers, Severino is the guy who brings back the biggest return. Even more than Alonso.Seve- 72 pitches- 7 innings- let him finish the f-ing game...just saying
Answer to first question is no.Has McNeil lost his job? Is Nido's spot as the backup catcher tenuous?
I dont think we get a prospect for either of them but I've been surprised before. We just traded cash to Yanks for Torrens.Answer to first question is no.
Second question is interesting. I think Stearns will be working the phones to see if either Nido or Torrens might bring back a mid-level prospect. If so, he makes the move.
I gotta believe that Nido is an upgrade over somebody's backup C.
EDIT: Nido will be a free agent next year. But Torrens still has two arbitration years left. For that reason I think the Mets will DFA and eventually trade Nido, and keep Torrens.
But on the other hand... The fact that Torrens has two controllable years may make him the more attractive trade target, who would bring back a better prospect.
Which is a long-winded way to say I have no idea.

The numbers you cite on Clifford are just his AA stats, not his composite High A + AA.I'm seeing Clifford with a .146 BA, but a .700 OPS.
It's everything I hate about baseball today(I'll just assume he strikes out a ton) but I'll guess there is some good going on below that awful BA.
If Stearns is good, he'll get cash and a bag of balls.I dont think we get a prospect for either of them but I've been surprised before. We just traded cash to Yanks for Torrens.
Dave Cash? I'm impressed. Maybe even Norm Cash? Or Don Money? If Stearns is good, he'll get cash and a bag of balls.

All good ball players.Dave Cash? I'm impressed. Maybe even Norm Cash? Or Don Money?
If touching 98 means topping out at 98, that’s about where he’s been all year.Edwin Diaz just threw a rehab inning in Brooklyn. 14 pitches, 11 strikes, 2 K's, 1 hit. Touched 98 on the gun.
Which rookies would you bring up that you honestly believe would improve the team at this point? And who would you drop?Sub .500 by 8 games and only 3 out of the last WC spot. If this collection of misfits can get to 80+ wins who knows what can happen. Again, Cohen isn't punting on the 2024 season as I said from day one. With that said, bringing up a couple of rookies to see how they fit in or energize the team wouldn't be the worst thing!
.
Acuna, since after his slow start has been on the upswing. Hamel, who has some impressive K/ip stats but his era is not good this early season.I'd also consider Sproat and if the injury bug stops then either Jett Williams, the most Major league ready or Gilbert should get a look in August. As far as who gets traded or sent down that would depend on injuries or performance at that point. Most teams don't bring up more than 2 or 3 players in any one season but that doesn't mean they'd be throwing in the towel if they did. Over the years making the jump from AA to the majors has happened for many teams, why not the Mets.Which rookies would you bring up that you honestly believe would improve the team at this point? And who would you drop?
Starling with the great effort on what was almost a pop up that led to 5 runs. Mets don’t give a crap.
I am late to this party. Context please. One of the many reasons why I still love Lindor
Was on third hit to SS ran home after throw to first, slide under the tag. Seems to be playing with more confidences batting lead off. Now if the other 9,hitters could start to feel more confidentI am late to this party. Context please.
