Bosux, lol. How puerile.Somehow I'm not believing Bosux fans don't like Verdugo because he's "puerile".

He did get 4 outs in the inning. But they should expect better fielding than they got
No, but consistently pitching to contact leads to a whole host of run scoring possibilities. Not every player needs to be struck out. If the defense player average Yanks win the game. You are a one minded skipping record. We get it, you want perfect closers who strike out the side on 9 pitches.
Those 8/9 hitters in the NYY lineup will put the fear of God in any opposing pitcher!Cole delivers to get the second half of the season off to a good start.
Volpe gets the big hit...bases clearing double.
LeMahieu starting to hear it from the fans.
Outside of Judge, Soto, Volpe, Cole, Gil, and maybe Rice...just a dogshit team. And this is not a good starting pitching performance....
Every time I see LeMahieu come up to bat I keep thinking how appropriate the term "washed up" is.Announcers were saying Verdugo has the worst batting stats in MLB over the last month or so.
I believe it. But what's sad is he isn't even close to being the weakest link right now.
Absolute dogshit batting order outside Judge/Soto.Based on what I've seen over the last month and a half...barring significant changes....the Bosux will catch and pass the Yankees soon enough. It pains me to say it, but I don't see this team making the playoffs. Too much dead weight.
Think positive.Absolute dogshit batting order outside Judge/Soto.
You mean THESE guys:Absolute dogshit batting order outside Judge/Soto.
OK...I'm positive it's a dogshit lineup other than Judge/Soto.Think positive.
Not sure why more teams don’t do the same thing to himNo one behind Judge. ..walked 4X with no consequences.
Just horrible lineup.
The lineup was a joke. The lead-off guy and the clean-up guy aren't even major league hitters. No one behind Judge. ..walked 4X with no consequences.
Just horrible lineup.
The announcer (Michel Kay) says they need Stanton to save the day.The lineup was a joke. The lead-off guy and the clean-up guy aren't even major league hitters.
They're righthanded batters...but they can't hit. I should have told Boone that I'm a right-handed batter too.
Put me in, coach.
Sad what they're doing to Judge.
If I'm reading the stats correctly, Davis, the guy hitting behind Judge, is hitless in July! Not sure why more teams don’t do the same thing to him

Impressive. And some people think Boone doesn't know what he's doing?
1-16 in last 30 days thoughI believe he only played a few games this month. It's usually someone else.
That is true and thus helps put his lack of production in perspective.I believe he only played a few games this month. It's usually someone else.
Well, I never watch them live, I turn on the recording at least 90 minutres after the start. How can you guys even watch this crap team right now? I admire you for sticking with it, but I have better things to do.
His defense is slipping as well.LaMahieu is no longer a guaranteed out every time he bats, he's a guaranteed two outs if there's a runner on first and less than 2 outs.
I think at some point they have to reset, dump the dead wood and start over. Clearly, this rebuilding on the fly isn't working. I'm not saying they shouldn't be buyers at the deadline, but at some point they need to prioritize youth and give them a chance to play through their growing pains. During this time, they should can Cash, Boone and pretty much every decision maker to start a new era. They have so much dead wood on this roster and there's no reason that kids can't be playing to give them a shot. If it means Soto leaves, so be it. They just got destroyed by the Mets, who ditched their old pitchers last year and they seem to be thriving without them.I'd like to think the Yanks are buyers at the trade deadline, but not sure they have many, if any, bargaining chips at this point. Might just be best to give the rooks some big league experience and play out the season. Hard to see Soto coming back next year with the money they need to expend overturning the entire roster. Thanks Cashman...
For the fellow old-timers here, this current team reminds me a ton of the 80's version of Yanks with Judge playing the part of Dave Winfield. Despite being a five-tool hall-of-famer, Big Dave only saw the playoffs one single season in his time in the Bronx. It's no surprise that the Yankees success in the following decades from '95 onward was largely based upon youth brought up through their farm system.I think at some point they have to reset, dump the dead wood and start over.
