OT: Belmar beach badge checkers don’t fool around

Thot with a filthy mouth and porno tats
Beach crowds have been nasty to authority for quite awhile.
Florida towns ready to quit spring break.

There has to be more to this story. Seems a bit aggressive for no beach tag. Nice ass shot at the end

My thought exactly - love how the video omits WHY: (1) the police were there to start with - last time I checked the police don’t check beach badges; and (2) what cuases the Police to have to restrain him.

There has to be a LOT more that preceded this that they didn’t show

But what they did show- was him CONTINUING to resist - thus why they tackled him to the ground

Lol classic jersey trash.

I’ve never paid to go on a beach in NJ in my life other than IBSP and Sandy Hook and I’ve never been suplexed let alone caught.

In Lavallette in the late 70s/early 80s you were required to get a permit and stick it on your surfboard to surf.

Lots of inexperience in that video. All specials and only one special II. Doesn’t excuse the way the crowd is speaking and interacting with them but those specials should do nothing but observe and call in the real cops.

Comments on IG give some more context. People love to be outraged without any context or background-there is likely more to this story. Maybe he was spreading rumors about the Rutgers AD?:

FROM IG:

You can see the lifeguard talking to the police officers. I highly doubt this is over a beach badge and if you watch the video over and over his IS resisting arrest!

It’s been my experience that Belmar police are pretty decent. I have witnessed when people don’t have badges and this never happens. There must be something else going on

Agree 100% with this post. No one is being handcuffed and arrested for not having a beach badge. Technically surfers and fisherman do not need badges. As long as they are actively surfing/fishing and not sitting on the beach above the high water mark.

Something tells me alcohol was involved and there is zero tolerance in Belmar.

Alcohol most likely the case and you are spot on about the surfing/fishing thing, thats the rule in most towns. Maybe they were arresting him for wearing a wetsuit, the water was in the 70's yesterday!

The guy appears to be high on something. With multiple law enforcement officers there, most likely something proceeded this. Plus it is not a good idea to resist, when you are is custody.

We have Season beach badges in Belmar. The summer officers come around and ask to see your badge on the sand. They don't check badges to get onto the beach. When they find someone without a badge they make them go buy a beach pass.

There's definitely something else going on here

Funny story. Many years ago, the Belmar rent-a-cops were a big PITA and my group had a run in with them. To make a long story short our group decided to go on a bar walk in and around Belmar, so we mapped out 18 bars (a golf like outing) and started our adventure. After leaving bar 15 on Main Street, we were pounced on by 3 rent-a-cops and at this point things got a little fuzzy. In any case 2 from our group got hauled away to the Belmar jail for reasons that still escape all of us. With the two "felons" sitting in a jail cell one of them turns to the other and says, "hey I still have a joint in my pocket" which leads the other one to panic and say "you have to flush it down the toilet" and without missing a beat the joint possessor says "why, they didn't search me on the way in why would they search me on the way out". Now to add insult to injury, the rest of us finished the last 3 bars, on the bar walk, before we went to try to bail the 2 out.

That would've been a better story if the two sitting in the cell smoked the joint to help pass the time. I mean, long as they finished it quickly, there'd be no evidence but the smell, and you can't be charged for a smell.

I'm pretty sure thats the rule on all NJ beaches but if you are discreet and don't make a scene most towns let it slide. OCNJ ironically is pretty lax on that even though we are a dry town.
Yea. That’s my experience as well. You can drink on beaches in Point and Asbury in front of the bars.

When the guy sues and wins they'll up the price of the badges and it'll be an endless cycle.

Instead of merging these municipalities, their police forces and cutting down on waste and restrictive statutes, it's always a double down.

NJ allows towns to legalize public consumption now. Imagine if Belmar did so, even just on the beaches proximate to DJais. They could probably lower taxes tremendously. But here we are.

Dang, I knew I'd regret not going to the beach! I was giving my skin a break...

I’ve been drinking on NJ beaches my whole life. I get a law prohibiting bottles or other glass on beaches. Not drinking? Lame.
Not saying I don’t have drinks on the beach but don’t be surprised if someone gives you a problem if you act like an asshole.

Actually, in Belmar, the badge checkers wear shirts that say "Police" on the back, but there are no badges/guns. Regular police are up on the boardwalk walking around or driving up and down the Ave.

Police body cam has been released. Surfer seems like toolbox looking to be a victim.

But this could have been handled better.

Seems odd to me that out of the blue a police officer would go out to the ocean's edge and approach a surfer just getting out of the water and ask for a beach badge and identification. My experience at the beach is there are dedicated badge checkers who cycle around. Guessing that someone else asked the cops to check this guy out.

A case of two wrongs making a right to arrest .
One wrong was the surfer ignoring a valid demand by law enforcement.
The other wrong was the way the officer made it into a confrontation by knocking the board away from the idiot holding it..
Officer deserves a reprimand for knocking the board away and escalating the situation , idiot needs to be fined for not obeying a valid ID request .
