First time there. I now get the attraction. It usually gets 4 or 5 stars from those who have been there. Drove by Wrigley and almost jumped out of the car. Great food. Weather has been San Diego like. Will be back.
Soon.

Chicago's craft beer scene is first class. Goose Island, Half Acre, Revolution, Pipeworks, Off Color, Une Annee. You can get Three Floyd's as well there.

My favorite city. Gibson's, Twin Anchors (rib heaven), Comiskey Park (it's much nicer than Wrigley), Grant Park, the lakefront, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium...love it!

Lived there when Richard Daley was mayor. Now, that was a city. Missed our undefeated 1976 season though.

If it's 1st time there, try to get Italian beef sandwich, deep dish, Gibsons or Chop House, Rosebuds, or Greektown. Also, gotta do architecture boat tour and beer garden at end of Navy Pier.
Agree Rosebud Trattoria is one of the best Italian restaurants in America ... greatest cheese ravioli I've ever had. Right across the street is Giovannis a total classic and the best deep dish in greater Chi town

Driving back from Montana the plan was to stop in Chicago get some deep dish, maybe walk around a little, check things out.

But as we approached got all tangled up in traffic, my gf almost had a meltdown cause we were on a quarter tank of gas and was afraid we were not going to make it to a gas station in time.

Long story short a couple hours later I was yelling eff bombs at Chicago from the interstate as we merely drove by.

Ate at Rosebud about a dozen years ago, and it was terrific.

I have over a half a dozen friends who are life long residents of Chicago and its burbs. They all choose Lou Malnottis as the best Chicago deep dish every time.

Come on now, you are being cruel...I'm sitting in my NYC office and am absolutely starving after skipping lunch. Deep dish sounds like heaven right about now.

If you are on the highway at one of their tolls, throw a shitload of penny's in the machine. Its the only state that takes penny's in the toll booths because of Linclon.

The trip was outstanding.Opened up a huge customer in Wisconsin. I am going back for a Cubs game the Navy pier the sears tower some blues . Then to Milwaukee to stalk Bob Uecker before he forgets to wake up someday.
