belly fat thread got me thinking, if we have fitbit users here, may group up some scarlet nation users and get a little competiton going? Got mine in March, I am at 820,000 steps and 410 miles in just under 3-months. Great incentive to workout.

Anyone?

I think the Fitbit is a pretty cool gadget. It's definitely helped me become more conscious of having low activity days. In the beginning, I was pretty obsessed with my step count, but after about 4-5 months got sick of just trying to beat a number. Now I use it to watch my heart rate throughout the day and make sure I get my fat a$$ moving on days when I have too much school work!

I would join a RU group if it were made.

I use the fit bit HR wristwatch… It's awesome. With the software on your phone and synchronization, makes it easy to track workouts, total activity, calories burned, etc.
Also helps you track sleep and other things.

And speaking of competitions and motivation… I do the weekly challenge with a bunch of friends, it definitely gets me out and walking/running more than I would otherwise.

I have a Nike Fuelband and liked it. Whether or not these gadgets measure your statistics well enough or not, it's a great motivator to see where you stand at as far as physical activity on any given day.

I'm actually more interested in the following band that may debut eventually. It measures your overall well-being. Saw it on Mashable the other day:

Great as a motivator and the website/app is a great tool for monitoring daily intake. You'd be surprised how many calories are in what you are eating. And what a "serving size" really is.

Fitbit changed my life, along with incorporating parts of Dr Joel Fuhrman's Eat to Live plan.
