Thinking people everywhere now have to wonder just how much other important information about ongoing safety issues with Tesla software Musk, with his former $200B+, now $100B+, can prevent anybody from seeing?
Safest cars ever, huh? How could anybody possibly know or trust that claim with Musk working so hard to cover up any evidence to the contrary?

Do you need to charge that quickly? We usually plug our S60 recharge into a 120V outlet in when we get home and it charges overnight. A 240V (electric dyer outlet) will do it in about 5 hours. I don't think you will do much better with a home charging station.

That wasn’t that long ago. Having access to the capital markets is a huge advantage. Remember Apple issuing debt because it was so cheap that they used it to buy back stocks. I’m sure Apple doesn’t have 21 billion in cash.
Rivian is down 79% since last year. The entire S&P 500 was down 20 % in 2022.
Not much prospering going on since Feb 2021.
Not on the market, especially for buy and holders, true. And some automakers got hurt by supply chain issues. Not all, I think.
But plenty of businesses and individuals prospered through COVID and continue to do so through post-COVID inflation and into interest rate hikes. Contractors/builders, for example. So far, at least.
A restaurant owner I know saw his business, which was pretty good before before 2020, totally take off through starting late 2020. Great management meant they didn’t experience the same labor issues others did. It’s still going great for them now. He and his business partners are prospering.
I cannot imagine they’re alone. Some real estate developers did and are doing very well, too.
Rivian is extremely well funded with solid partnerships. I bet it will be one of the big success stories in the EV market 5-10 years down the road. Might be buying AMZN after the dot com crash.

Wasn’t Wyoming the only state to refuse the federal push to lower speed limits to 55? The federal government used withholding of Highway funds as a stick to push he states to adopt the lower limit. Or something like that. And Wyoming said F the Highway funds.
It helps that there’s only like 11 cars on the road in all of Wyoming at any given time. Basically, with such a small population, they could keep using ICEVs forever and it won’t make any difference to the world.
Not sure who will still be making ICEVs in 2035. So they find their goal of banning EVs a little difficult.
We put a 240 line in our garage for our xc60. That used with the cord that Volvo provided works fine for us. The charging time says about 4-5 hours on the APP but always ends up closer to 3-4 hours for a full charge.
I read that the Volvo will throttle down the charge to a predetermined amperage .

Rivian is far from out of the woods even with Amazon's backing. The mountains of cash they're burning can't go on forever.
$14B can last a very long time. Production is starting to ramp up and their trucks are popping up in my area. Obviously TSLA is king and I bet will remain so. However, there is plenty of room for multiple winners in the EV space.
Much of what you‘ve posted about Tesla in this thread is propaganda, often misrepresenting facts to make some marketing message work. Like the Tesla spin on the NHTSA data, which the NHTSA themselves stated was misrepresentative.
And you seem unaware of what narcissism is. Me, and others, posting about potential dangers in various cars benefits everybody, including you. It’s the opposite of being narcissistic.
OTOH, you spreading misinformation about safety, or participating in a potential cover-up, at the risk of people being harmed, all because of slavish brand loyalty and/or concerns over your stock, actually is narcissistic behavior.
Neither of us know the truth of the cause of that tunnel accident yet. All the facts aren’t in. But you are busy trying to stifle any discussion about it, like your idol Musk.

I'm all for investigation into the tunnel accident. I'd love to know what happened. I know for a FACT that the FSD beta software doesn't operate on highways. Did you? No, of course not. Perhaps you should reread your garbage after it was posted.
There are about 300,000 more people in Middlesex County NJ than there are in the whole state of Wyoming.
I already did. The NHTSA thing, where Tesla put out marketing spin on it that NHTSA wrote Tesla to cease doing because it was misinformation. You pushed that Tesla propaganda out here and then disclaimed the NHTSA’s response. As if Tesla knows the NHTSA data and methodologies better than NHTSA does.
I never said it was FSD causing the car to brake suddenly. Take FSD out of the car and the ECU will still have various brake assist features, no? Most every other modern car does.
And how could you possibly know that elements of the FSD software weren’t in use in the car in question? Do you know what version was installed in that particular car? Do you know every detail of the software in all the different daily builds?
How do you know FSD didn’t engage by mistake, due to a bug, and that the errant engagment wasn’t part of a series of cascading software failures ultimately leading to the sudden emergency braking event? This stuff happens with all kinds of software.
I know, for a fact, that some extraordinarily expensive mission failures were traced back to just that sort of cascading software failure.
Perhaps you should learn to read what people actually write, and not make shit up to argue against so you can finally win an argument (with yourself, but hey, a win is a win).
