ID4 is still cheaper than the model 3 after the price cut. Why would they need to react?
Because when you do a like for like comparison, anyone with a brain would rather own a Model 3 or Y.ID4 is still cheaper than the model 3 after the price cut. Why would they need to react?
I did the comparison. Tesla needed the price cut to compete.Because when you do a like for like comparison, anyone with a brain would rather own a Model 3 or Y.
Great, which trim of the id4 and Tesla are you using?I did the comparison. Tesla needed the price cut to compete.
I bought the base model (pro) and was looking at the base model 3 (RWD)Great, which trim of the id4 and Tesla are you using?
What features and functions does the id4 come out ahead?
The pro isn't the base model. The id4 standard is.I bought the base model (pro) and was looking at the base model 3 (RWD)
only 3 models when I ordered. Pro, Pro S and 1st edition. It was 7k cheaper than the base RWD model 3. That didn’t include the Federal tax credit. The pro isn't the base model. The id4 standard is.
Regardless, where does the id4 come out ahead?
You missed the reply! Because carrying 15-20 gallons of a flammable gasoline is safe!
Why? So Tesla looks better? This is why these arbitrary levels are ridiculous. Limited by speed, needs a "pace car", doesn't work on curved roads and only available on specific, premapped stretches of highway.
But, hey, it's level 3, right? Very functional 😂
Audi had level 3 autonomy 2 years ago. They followed this amazing milestone by abandoning their autonomy program.
I think it's time we abandon the levels.
Level 6 is where the entire idea is scrapped until V2X.For anyone interested, this graphic shows the levels of vehicle automation.
I know exactly where this occurred. Near Staten Island University Hospital. I almost went there to charge up once and decided not to because of the back in parking requirement. Along that street there is usually a traffic cop stationed there full time.NYC gonna NYC.
I got a ticket because the charge port is in the front and I parked head-in.
Last night I got a ticket for parking "Head in to Back-in Only" while charging at a NYC DOT EV designated charging space. Cars parked on that street are normally required to back in, but the charging cables are super short so the only way for me to charge there is to pull in, which is what...www.f150lightningforum.com
Yet when you research Tesla customer satisfaction, they're industry leading. This doesn't mean what you think it means. It's actually quite simple.
Teslas are shitty cars.
VW builds good cars.
Ergo, VW does not feel compelled to try to compete with Tesla on price. Just like they don't compete with GM or Ford on price.
Yet when you research Tesla customer satisfaction, they're industry leading.
Emotive reasoning vs reality. You've morphed into a toddler throwing a tantrum when it comes to anything Tesla or Elon. Quite bizarre.
Zutobi released a report tracking four different car owner rating reports from Parkers, HonestJohn, Autotrader, and Edmunds in order to put together a global owner happiness tracker. From this dataset, Tesla was #1.No, they're not.
There's a single report published by something called "Zutobi" which claims that "Tesla owners are happiest" compared to other manufacturers.
Since I've never heard of Zutobi, I went to the American Customer Satisfaction Index, which shows the following:
American Customer Satisfaction Index: Luxury nameplates
- Lexus (84)
- Acura (82)
- Audi (82)
- Infiniti (82)
- Cadillac (80)
- Tesla (80)
- Mercedes-Benz (79)
- BMW (77)
- Volvo (76)
- Lincoln (75)
Ironic post because you're the only person regularly exhibiting emotion in this thread (other than amusement). You very obviously get angry when people point out Musk's obvious flaws is or say anything negative about Tesla or their cars.Yet when you research Tesla customer satisfaction, they're industry leading.

"4 points from the top" is the Tesla Fanboi way of looking at it.Zutobi released a report tracking four different car owner rating reports from Parkers, HonestJohn, Autotrader, and Edmunds in order to put together a global owner happiness tracker. From this dataset, Tesla was #1.
But regardless, let's go with your data. Tesla is 4 points from the top. Guess you were wrong. Emotive reasoning.
No worries. That’ll buff right out.Tesla's "quality"
Tesla Model S 'spontaneously' catches fire, requires 6,000 gallons of water to extinguish
Metro Fire of Sacramento tweeted video and images of the white Tesla Model S, indicating that approximately 6,000 gallons were used to extinguish the flames.www.autoblog.com
it's an easter egg feature. obviously. No worries. That’ll buff right out.
If not, surely spontaneous combustion damage is covered under the warranty.

I'm a fan of the Porsche brand. But you could say negative stuff about Porsche and it's CEO all day long and I would never feel compelled to defend them. I wouldn't be emotionally moved to lob lame insults at you over it, the way you do with anybody daring to speak out against Musk and Tesla.
Hell, depending on what negative things you say, I'd be in total agreement about it. There are plenty of negatives about Porsche. Just like every other automotive company.
Incidentally, this site places Tesla mid-pack in customer satisfaction:

JD Power initial quality survey doesn't make Tesla look particularly industry leading at all:
2022 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS)
TROY, Mich.: 28 June 2022 — In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, initial vehicle quality notably declined, according to the J.D. Power 2022 U.S. Initial Quality StudySM (IQS), released today. The disruptions caused by the pandemic—supply chain issues, record-high vehicle prices and personnel...www.jdpower.com
Interestingly, JD Power has this to say about Tesla:
"Tesla Motors officially included for the first time: Tesla Motors is included in the industry calculation for the first time, with a score of 226 PP100. However, because Tesla Motors does not allow J.D. Power access to owner information in the states where that permission is required by law, Tesla vehicles remain ineligible for awards."
More of that Musk focus on transparency at work, eh?
More DATA on customer satisfaction.

Both are equally accurate. One of us is honest. According to you, Tesla makes "shitty" cars that randomly lose parts as they drive. Looks like the people that actually own the cars disagree. The data indicates Tesla owners are very happy with their vehicle choice. I love how I'm called a "fanboy" for correcting blatant lies. I"4 points from the top" is the Tesla Fanboi way of looking at it.
The more accurate way of looking at it would be "5th".
LOL... because I point out bullshit. Ok. Guilty.Ironic post because you're the only person regularly exhibiting emotion in this thread (other than amusement). You very obviously get angry when people point out Musk's obvious flaws is or say anything negative about Tesla or their cars.

Yawn. I'm neither anti-EV nor anti-Tesla.Do you spend you day posting about things you don’t like? Your anti-EV/Tesla obsession is old.
How do you like the software update. I think it’s a big upgrade. Much easier because you can use the main control knob.Ford’s BlueCruise Ousts GM’s Super Cruise as CR’s Top-Rated Active Driving Assistance System
Tesla Autopilot falls to midpack as other high-tech systems improve

Tesla pretty far down the list.
It's bullshit to equate satisfaction survey results with quality. So you don't get all offended, I'll use Porsche as an example.LOL... because I point out bullshit. Ok. Guilty.
