Was that Yankee team in the NL East in 1986 quitting, as you say they all did, and losing the division to the 108 win Mets? If not, this is what we call one of those "watch talkin' 'bout Wills" responses.
I was in Chicago for business this past Thursday. Sitting at my hotel bar, the Thompson Hotel in the river north area up across the street from Gibson's. It was about midnight and who walked in but the Refridgerator William Perry. A member of the group I was with said hello, and started a convo and the fridge couldn't have been nicer. He was just getting finished with an autograph signing session, so he had a ton of materials with him and he ended up taking out a bunch of 8x10 pictures from his playing days and signing them for us. We got pictures with him, etc. He was a really nice guy and his face lit up when we were talking about the '85 Bears team.
