Splitter or scuffer?Mike Scott splitter:
You can also put in there Ron Guidry's slider, these two were best I seen in my lifetime.
Curve gets no love. Loved seeing gooden’s and zito’s curve ball live.
I think Bert Blyleven had the best curveball over the past 60 years.
Sure you want to say 60? That's a slight overlap with Koufax.
How in the F*** is Billy Wagner on this list but no Phil Neikro Knuckleball or Greg Maddux Changeup?

OP should be banned for bringing such $hit to the board lol
Adam Wainwright’s curveball

I would think this is always the most obvious- I am curious how JR Richard compared...Best pitches in my era:
Best fastball...Nolan Ryan
Best Curve.....Don Sutton
Best slider....tie Rollie Fingers/ Dennis Eckersley.
Best Change up...tie Mario Soto/ Frank Viola
Best Sinker....Bruce Sutter
Knuckler...Phil Niekro
Best lefty....Steve Carlton
Scariest.....Lee Smith
Craziest....Joaquin Andujar
Slowest...Ed Lynch/Randy Jones
Best fielder....Jim Kaat
Nuttiest...Bill Lee/lots of fun off field
I never hit off him, but I’d say his “ Cutter” is the best natural movement pitch in the history of the game.Mariano Rivera cutter. You knew it was coming and you still couldnt hit it
Thread won and ended! 👏🏼Chris Ash to Pat Hobbs
That is the thing...this guy threw this pitch for almost 20 years and no one could still hit it and you knew it was coming...I am sure you would agree- if N Ryan only had his fastball and that was all he threw 90% of the time, major league hitters would have been more successful then they were against MR.I never hit off him, but I’d say his “ Cutter” is the best natural movement pitch in the history of the game.

Are these real? They are awesome.I remember Andujar's meltdown in the 1985 World Series. He was a nut but he had some great quotes:
• “You know, I am very proud to stand here and talk to you in English, a language I don’t even know.”
• “You can’t worry if it’s cold; you can’t worry if it’s hot; you only worry if you get sick. Because then if you don’t get well, you die.”
• “It’s great to be alive because when you’re dead, you can’t drink beer.”
• “That’s why I don’t talk. Because I talk too much.”
• “How can I play baseball if I’m stupid? If I was stupid I wouldn’t have pitched in the World Series. I’d be playing ball in Mexico or Yugoslavia or on Pluto.”
• “My favorite word in English, and I love this word, is ‘youneverknow.’”
