OT: NFL 2025 Playoff Games Thread

Why would the Super Bowl overseas suck ? It’s a television event.
We should keep numbers like these at home….
Super Bowl LVII was held on February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The event generated a record-breaking economic impact for the state:

• Total Economic Activity: $1.3 billion
• Contribution to Arizona’s GDP: $726.1 million
• Out-of-State Visitors: Approximately 102,598, spending over $221 million
• Jobs Created: 10,459 unique jobs, contributing $494.1 million in labor income

Ok fair enough from an economic perspective

Good points.
I'm 100% sure NFL doesn't care about any of them aside from ownership where game might be played.

With the tickets prices charged for US SB I cant see Europeans spending stupid money like that.
I could be wrong but for decades now I've been hearing about NFL becoming big in Europe but the league there collapsed in 2007.

It’s all about new stadiums for the owners. The promise of a Super Bowl helps the owners get a nice shiny new stadium built with subsidies from the city/state hoping to get the Super Bowl. See- Vegas, Atlanta, Minneapolis, San Fran, Arlington, Indianapolis, etc. Build a new stadium and you usually get a Super Bowl within 2-3 years.

Yes, even crappy Met Life got one.

Brady grows on me.
He names the routes and coverages from one play to another.
He said the out-cut route is the one most teams want to see at the combine.
See lots of those at RU - Out Route Central University

He’s getting better and growing into it. People were always going to be hyper focused on his mistakes because of the reported size of his contract.

I've given him a full season but Tom Brady absolutely sucks. No emotion. Terrible, repetitive story's. Bad move by Fox!

Dumb play by GB out-of-bounds but still a pretty weak "unnecessary roughness" flag at this point in a playoff game.

And a make-up call on a ticky-tack holding call on Philly WR.

Oh I didn’t know the season ended midway through the wild card round.
Maybe Brady is saving his best as the playoffs go on, just like when he played

GB center taken out by own guy
That's a reason OL are most injured position (WR #2)

Maybe they could move it up and it starts a little earlier. I would be for that

Then you have an early afternoon start on the West Coast. Not much of a pregame. And that's not taking into account Honolulu or Anchorage

So what ? Much better for us East coast peeps
They kickoff football games all the time at 430 pm here ! They just kicked a playoff game off at 430 .
A condense championship game kicks at 3

Will the Eagles fans boo Barkley like they did Samta? Thought it was a classy move.

So much fun to watch Barkley running around for 119 yards without even sweating and then being happy all over the place for Eagles.

NYGs were/are just so dead.

C’mon man the Santa thing has been proven to be garbage over the years. And no one will boo Saquan in Philly. We love him and Joe Schoen.

And while he might not have been a fit with the Giants, he surely justified being a #2 pick in that draft. I'd only put Josh Allen ahead of him, and his pick was called risky.

Oh God, Plum is dumb. The season is before the playoffs.
He has actually been worse as the year went on.

INCREDIBLE, but true
🤯

Bo Nix to Troy Franklin was the FIRST rookie-to-rookie TD in NFL PLAYOFF HISTORY!!

So maybe Darnold is the 2nd coming of Kenny O? Great with time to throw but folds when pressured…which happened a lot.
