I know UConn WBB and Geno are enemies #1 around here. But Paige Bueckers is such a fun basketball player and personality that it’s hard to root against her. She puts out a TON of content, basically a camera crew from their social media team or one of her teammates are almost always following her around, and she seems like a genuinely fun and great person. One of my friends from UConn knows her and says she will literally share her Snapchat with UConn students and just chat with them about games, campus, exams like anything whenever. I think I’m actually rooting for her and Uconn, the team to me is likeable.

I know we hate Geno but I actually feel like I gained some respect for him during Cviv’s retirement and seeing his words and messages for her, and he’s one of the “old guard” of WBB compared to the crazy antics today of LSU coach and others. Ive listened to a lot of his podcasts about how he teaches his players about life and how to practice, his methods and everything and it reminds me of real old school basketball.

Daughter loves UConn
Tarasuri & Geno are Italian, so it was a no-brainer for her

It's hard to hate a man who became a coach for the ages today. Geno was very emotional, and his emotions were clearly about his players.

Among many great college basketball coaches, John Wooden and Geno are undoubtedly in the pantheon alone, not only for their achievements but also for their ability to show tough love to their players because they have/had something to teach.
