4* WR recruit who had his own reality show on ESPN. It's being reported he's left the UCLA team but will remain a student. Apparently he just doesn't want to play football anymore.

The Bruin's seem to have a lot of issues with the sons of Rappers lol.

I think his father wanted him to play; he seemed like a sports helicopter parent if there ever was one.

Good for him if he decided he doesn't want to play anymore, it's a tough, tough sport and not for everyone. Another reason why the player rankings are flawed. Very difficult to evaluate what is in an individual's heart and mind. Being a top athlete doesn't mean they will be a very good football player in college.

kinda shocked he didn't give it the season to reconsider at least, he literally just started there.

Yeah and that's referenced in the article I read.

On the other hand you have to give Snoop props for everything he's done for youth football in his home town. Just seemed to push his own too hard but it's his kid, not mine.

Really not surprised. His son displayed and expressed some of that reticence while at Bishop Gorman and it showed in that televised series.

Espeically because, if you arent REALLY into playing - the main draw would seem to be a free college education, and the chance to get rich - neither of which apply here.

I wonder what he made from the TV show, and whether he holds it independent of his father.

P Diddys kid still playing?

Still on the roster. At 5-7 I don't think he has much of a future no matter what happened between his dad and UCLA.

Mora released a statement saying he spoke Snoop's kid. He told Mora he wants to pursue a career in film. He said the kid already has his own company.

Hopefully we can look forward to his contributions to the already scary talented American music scene

He heard there was mandatory drug testing and noped the heck out. Not even because he was using, but the dude was raised in the haze of the sticky icky and there's no way he'd pass.

Snoop Dog Jr. is such a yawner - has no flair for drama. Son of a millionaire celebrity, had a forum in his own reality TV show and couldn't even muster the imagination to make up a story that his coaches were abusing him and whine about being called a female genital.

We will know we are truly an upper tier team when we start recruiting the progeny of rappers.

RU will truly be an upper tier team when they can afford to waste scholarships on the progeny of rappers who can't play at the college level and still win 9-11 games a year.
