Accu-Weather is calling for mostly sunny with a high of 47 with 16 mph northwest winds.

You can't really expect another 1998,when it was 86 degrees at Shea for the Mets-Phillies opener.

I was at the Mets home opener against the Phillies in 1991. Temp hit 90 degrees. I was working in NYC at the time and went with some work friends. Mets won with Doc Gooden on the mound.

March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb.

That temperature reading must have been in direct sunlight as the record for April 9th,the date of the 1991 opener,is only 79,set in 1969.The winter of 1991 was very warm, though.

How about the 1982 (?) season where many opening games were snowed out? Anyone have the weather for the 1969 Expos (outdoors) home opener? :-)
