Owen Kessler PWO Candidate

Yes, he played very well today. Unblockable most of the as as was #41

Kessler is not coming to Rutgers as a walk-on if he has offers of a football scholarship from Georgetown (yes, Patriot League gives athletic scholarships for football and basketball) and a preferred walk-on at Penn State.

He's a PWO. Big fan of him but lacks some athleticism.

And why can't he be a Preferred Walk On at Rutgers ?
Play home games in front of 100,000 fans, a team that plays in the post-season, a team that plays on a national stage, a team that beat Ohio State. Or play on a team that got shutout 4 times this season?

Or play at Rutgers and represent your state! NJ has a ton of talent. Let's keep it here and win the championship!

Or be part of a revival at your home state university in a new Conference , the best in the land the B1G.
Having the courage and pride to do this takes more intestinal fortitude than jumping on the bandwagon at TSFP.

Which team has more playing time available and a better chance of him seeing the field? The answer to that question is easy.

Penn State will find ways to provide financial aid. They were very good at it when they lost athletic scholarships.
Out of state PSU tuition is ridiculous. Even if he did get some financial aid it still wouldn't come close to the price of Rutgers.

It's so silly that PSU people can't fathom a NJ kid wanting to stay home despite an opportunity to play at PSU. PSU isn't holy ground despite what you think.

he has received a scholarship offer, UConn

I've seen him quite a few times, he's very strong and has a fantastic motor, relentless. His game is similar to Justin Smith (not saying he is of course but his style of play), Rutgers would do pretty well giving him a real shot.
