Not a ton of them, but I always choose to look on the bright side (life is much more enjoyable that way!)

Got down big early (20-4) on the road, but the team DID NOT QUIT.

Cut it to 5 several times.
That is a huge positive.

The return of Mike and Eugene ahead of schedule.
Regardless of how either played tonight (would expect some rust and tentativeness), that is a HUGE positive.
1) for their sake
2) preventing us from having to go deep into the bench

Eugene drew ANOTHER charge. The guy is tremendous at that.
I could not believe the announcer when he said Eugene has 24 on the year, and no one else has more than 1.
“I got a fever. And the only prescription is more EUGENE!!!”

Eugene gave great effort and energy all game. Even though he didn’t convert a lot, he did make an effort to show some inside game, something our team is sorely lacking. I hope he continues to develop that part of his game. Without an inside threat, teams will continue to smother our shooters out deep.

Mike playing hard and playing some smart basketball. Need his IQ out there.

Sa making some effort plays and even a throw down. Any time he does that after not doing so for so long is GREAT!

Corey playing hard on the defensive end. Always great to see this improvement in his game.

I’m sure others can add to my list.

The team needs to keep working hard, stay focused on improving and never quitting, and eventually it will turn. We are limited, but we have to stick with our guys (coaches and players).

I have tix for Illinois game.
First game since 199x (?).
Can’t wait.

“Don’t give up.
Don’t ever give up.”

Great recap RUONBRAIN, on the positive side I will say that Sa played with great effort and had 8 rebounds and 4 points. Unfortunately on the negative side Doucoure continues to not improve in my opinion still brings the ball down and plays small and his basketball I Q with bad fouls etc. seems limited at this time. He has the potential body and size to be productive and I hope to see a big jump in other areas of his game by next year

I’d like to see MD come off th bench told we want 18mins from him and to play aggressively.

Thanks for this OP.

As someone who has been relentlessly positive about basketball, last night was really hard to watch. My biggest frustration was the number of self-inflicted yesterday. We have generally been pretty good at avoiding those but we have been trending more of them lately.

But back to being positive... it is good that some of the younger guys continue to develop. I am still all in on Mamadou. I think we'll see a big step up this offseason.

Not only did Eugene return he contributed mightily
Mike W not so much.....but good to see him back!

I still cant understand our 7ft starter cant seem to get even ONE bucket a game

I look forward to the day when we have 3-4 Omoruyis platooning in/out
and we can cram NEBBIES "rowboat" up their collective U know whats

And yes, I wanted to have someone on our team dive into their bench of row boat scrubs.

That kind of stuff just pisses me off.
“Hey! Look at us! We stink because we’re on the end of the bench and don’t play, but at least we are goofy!”
So disrespectful.
Can’t imagine Pike letting our guys do that.

That we miss so many shots with open looks is hard to watch. Yet I am positive as well. Think Robinson will be a pleasant surprise.

Must have heard announcers say 100 times this year. "Freeman shot comes up short".
That my friends is our year. Hitting the bottom of the rim on layups.

Someone, please teach Thiam to play like Roby. And Sanders to learn that he has to bounce
the ball on the court, not his foot.

Corey seemed to play hungry. He WANTED his team to do well (even though he drew a T).

This team needs at least a couple more serious shooters to be really competitive.
