Princeton/Iona game being played at Kean University, RAC substitute when being renovated?

Use the Stadium and every hoops season ticket holder gets one of these

If Rutgers is smart they would play in Trenton and not the shiny new toy at prudential. Strategically they should paint the town red and have the legislature and bureaucrats have the block r in their face for 6 months. Sure some will resent it but it will likely do more to reinforce the importance of supporting Rutgers than getting hurried away at prudential.
Say what you want but Hobbs will pick the Pru Center as it’s the best option to generate the largest revenue.

Maybe true, but I'm sure that renting The Rock would be a lot more expensive than Trenton. Also you make a deal with Trenton for even a lower rent by including dates for WBB and wrestling plus whatever other events that the school normally would use the RAC.
In addition, there's a better chance of generating a "home court' atmosphere in Trenton. I don't think that we're going to draw 18,000 a night in Newark.

The Athletics Dept. had to have firm plans for moving the home games before committing to construction schedules and contracts. It just hasn’t been announced.

Prudential Center just makes way too much sense. Can practice/walkthrough at the Golden Dome at Rutgers-Newark campus whenever needed which is just a few blocks from Prudential Center. Maybe draw some more of the Newark campus out to some of the games

Not sure about that. I don't think that we'll make up in ticket sales (except for maybe 3/4 games) the additional cost to rent the building. We're not getting parking or concessions money. In addition, are we going to have WBB at The Rock also? If not there could be Title IX reprucussions. Just think it would be so much easier and cheaper to bring MBB, WBB and wrestling to Trenton for the year. Except for the occasional MSG game a team should have one home court.

No title 9 issues. Seton Hall women dont play at Prudential

The arena in Trenton, which was so good when it first opened with the Titans, has been such an incredible waste over the past decade. Still would rather see us play our games there than Newark.
Capacity is 8,600. Current RAC capacity 8,000?
Nobody who isn't 70 years old and retired, is going to a weeknight game in Trenton.
Way better off at the Rock and MSG.

Not everyone does it all in the off season.
Then do the stuff that would hamper attendance in the offseason.

Do exterior stuff when we’re playing.

Indiana, bigger project stayed at Alumni Hall the whole time.

And who says it has to happen over one season?

Of course not EVERYONE does a renovation in the off season. But ALOT of schools and teams do. And we have a HUMONGOUS home court advantage. Do you think Pike want to give up our insane home court advantage for a whole season, if he doesn’t have to?

Please, answer that question.

This just seems like it should be a 2 (or maybe 3) phase renovation. Do phase 1 (whatever reasonable work can be done between say around 3/5- 11/5 (or whatever). Then year 2, that same kind of time frame, do more work, and maybe a 3rd year if needed. And for the beginning/end of those respective seasons, maybe have an extra away game, one at Pru, whatever for even more of a time cushion.

For every Indiana there is a UCLA that lost a season playing at home for renovations.

Of course he doesn't and neither does Hobbs. These are smart men and they know what the RAC means. If it's possible, they won't miss a season at the RAC. However, maybe that is not possible.

When there is a will, there is a way.

Then let’s be like Indiana and not UCLA (having to play in TWO places with one much further away than the other).

Since they can’t beat us on the court let’s try not to let them win off of it.😉
