How do you Pen St fans feel about this game right now, quite confident?

Sad that the Philly Inquirer has the Pen St slant when Rutgers is much closer to that city.

Philly is more of a PSU town than any other college football team. Rutgers is probably a distant 3rd after Temple. RU needs to focus on NJ fans and they will be fine.

The problem is the Philly Inquirer has heavy readership in South Jersey.

RU is much closer to Philly than Pen St.

no rational PSU fan feels confident about any game this season.

I'm not advocating that Philly media stop covering Pen St, but there is no reason why they should not give more coverage to Rutgers since much of the Philly area has tons of RU alums and the school itself is only about 60 miles away compared to 190 to State College from Philly.

Rutgers has always done a piss poor job in marketing and media relations.

Inquirer: I haven't made a study but as long as kids from their readership area in SJ continue to come to RU we will get our share of "local boy makes good" coverage. It is anecdotal but I think that has picked up some since we went B1G. Of course PSU is going to be a big CFB story line for them. The fact we are now PSU competitors increases the coverage we will get going forward I imagine.

I'm sure Nick Arch, Muller, Denman, Martin, Scarff, Joseph, and Big Cat will be happy to show PSU what they missed out on!!
