Reminder: MLAX vs. Ohio St. 7:00PM Saturday on BTN

If we beat Hopkins we are still a strong chance.
.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Duke beating Notre Dame on Friday combined with the loss to OSU gave the committee the excuse to put in 4 ACC teams. It's AQ or stay home.

During the ACC final yesterday, RU wasn't even among Paul Carcaterra's "next four in." State Penn was, though, if I recall correctly.

Same with other projections I've seen - doesn't even look like we're on the bubble.

Gonna need a magical weekend in Baltimore.

Team needs to relax and think a whole new season has started. It's doable. Just focus one game at a time.

If we beat Hopkins I still contend we are a strong chance. There are few teams at large with two top ten wins, with another two top 20.

Need Penn St. to lose to Maryland for sure.

Love P. Carcs, but he doesn't sit on the committee. I believe that was Q's projection anyway. And he isn't friend to RU.

Maverick poll is out and Rutgers is #17 and PSU is #18 fwiw. Our Army win is looking pretty good, and our loss to Stony Brook isn't a bad one. Princeton didn't loss help.

I don't see it. You have the 10 AQ teams. After that I see:

Yale - Brown loser in the Ivy tournament
Albany - Stoney Brook loser in the American East
Notre Dame
Villanova
UNC
Navy

And don't dismiss the possibility of the committee giving Duke and or Penn State the benefit of the doubt.

There are 8 at large spots, not 6. If we beat Hopkins, I'm not sure Villanova has a better case. Navy is on the bubble with no more games. Stony Brook beating Albany would be a problem. Personally I think Duke is in.

Let's see what happens this next week. We need to beat Hopkins though. We do that we have a case. 11 wins with 2 top ten and 2 top twenty. I'm not sure there are 8 teams who can boast that.

Or we can just win the whole damn thing!

MD, who do you have winning the ACC if it isn't Notre Dame or UNC? I figure one of them will count as one of the AQs, but maybe I'm missing something.

ETA: I'm an idiot, don't mind me. Sorry about that...

Syracuse won their AQ yesterday. Two weeks ago it looked like the acc would be a two team league. Now it looks like 4.

Things change this time of year a ton. This week could see a lot of different permutations happening from current projections.

Bottom line for us- we control our own destiny. Fun to be playing meaningful games in May.
