I dont have 247 premium but the headline says his top 2 are now Wisconsin and North Carolina.

Good riddance
This is true....I mean, these recruiting sites and their writers are writing for specific audiences, and even if it's not a case of "tell us what we want to hear", it is a case of guys asking specific questions about odds of a particular school.Besides, a lot of the articles will give great quote that shine bright on the local team. Until it happens it's just rumors.
What is the sales pitch for NC? He won't have to work so hard? It's generally warmer? Sanctions won't be crippling?I dont have 247 premium but the headline says his top 2 are now Wisconsin and North Carolina.

I agree but when the quotes are coming from the commits mouth as stating along the lines that it is down to UNC-Wisconsin its hard to feel positive after that. He had extremely great things to say about the two and when it came to RU it was like, Oh I'm still getting to know the new staff.Rutgers gets the last visit and unless Rene cancels it, Rutgers still has a chance. Besides, a lot of the articles will give great quote that shine bright on the local team. Until it happens it's just rumors.
the 247 story isn't premium. I only subscribe to rivals and I read it.I agree but when the quotes are coming from the commits mouth as stating along the lines that it is down to UNC-Wisconsin its hard to feel positive after that. How is he a goner if he never was here. Until signing day no one is truly here. It happens every year to a lot of teams.
You answer questions based on the reporter (UNC/UW guy). The questions could have been asked in a way to get a certain response. It does appear that way. Plus recruits are aware of who they are talking to and what the answer may need to be.I agree but when the quotes are coming from the commits mouth as stating along the lines that it is down to UNC-Wisconsin its hard to feel positive after that. Exactly. When I used to read Todderick's interviews, I came away thinking everybody he interviewed was definitely coming to Rutgers. You answer questions based on the reporter (UNC guy). Good Riddance? A 4* recruit who has length and speed and it's good riddance? Sour grapes much?Good riddance, and of course he will go to another B1G school like the rest of them, just not RU
Maybe lack of a QB in the 2016 class is not helping. If we land one or more QBs, maybe it will help.
Exactly. Silly responses from a few in this thread about a 4* recruit at a position of great need who is technically still committed to us.Rutgers gets the last visit and unless Rene cancels it, Rutgers still has a chance. Besides, a lot of the articles will give great quote that shine bright on the local team. Until it happens it's just rumors.

Until he comes out and says that he is decommiting, and still have an OV, I won't believe it til I see it!I dont have 247 premium but the headline says his top 2 are now Wisconsin and North Carolina.

Exactly. He initially was excited and had high praise for HC Ash after the hire because Ash recruited him at OSU. Also, one of his reasons for committing to RU was because of the academic reputation. So, if all true how in the heck did UNC become a top contender? Wisconsin I can understand but why is RU no longer in the running? His exact words are, "I feel its Winsconsin or North Carolina."So let me get this straight. These guys were really coming to Rutgers to play for Kyle Flood and his dysfunctional bunch and do not want to play for Ash from Ohio State? Advil please?
No matter how many times you post it, it doesn't make it true. Like I said earlier in the thread the questions asked by the reporter are set up to get a certain response that if favorable to the school he or she is covering. Has he officially decommitted? If not your statement is true.Exactly. He initially was excited and had high praise for HC Ash after the hire because Ash recruited him at OSU. That would be a dagger....i had high hopes with him and his HS friends next yr...We had great young DB potential esp with him coming....i hate guys that leave so late. Lets hope he has better character than that,,,,this pisses me off 10 times more than AR...What is the sales pitch for NC? He won't have to work so hard? It's generally warmer? Sanctions won't be crippling?
Wisconsin seems like a nice place to go. Maybe he doesn't like Ash.
Seems like a stud, but it seems like he's looking hard.
He won't go to UNC...IMO...Just background noise so it don't all fall on Wisky..If he goes to UNC them it gets a death penalty do you take him back?

so... recruits are leaving because Rutgers workouts will be too hard? wha?huh? The way I look at all these Defensive recruits, especially the ones who have committed to us as DBacks, if at this point they are looking around, then the whole "fight or flee" mantra is hitting home to them. Ash has said, that everyone will be going through a very physical, mental camp, and as a player you either have it or you don't! I think this is scaring some of these players, who have been cuddled most of their athletic lives. After all, why in hel! would you not be excited to play for a head coach who has a scheme/reputation, where as a DBack, you will be asked to go head to head with some of the best WR's in the country, prove yourself, and be NFL ready/noticed while in College! It is a perfect opportunity to show your stuff. But, if the work necessary for those achievements are perceived to tough, then "Flee" might describe that players mantra better, and not worthy of an Ash Defense. Either way Rutgers benefits.
Yes, that is a consideration. Maybe not for you, but a kid with a high opinion of himself, or herself could easily be intimidated. If you don't believe me, look at some of the transfers from the women's basketball team. They are asked to do things on the court that many of these women never had to do in HS, like play Defense. And, some have bolted to easier pastures.so... recruits are leaving because Rutgers workouts will be too hard? wha?huh?
UNC has 5 DB verbal commits
Wisky has 5 DB verbal commits.
RU has 1 other DB verbal commit.
We slaughtered UNC in our bowl game in 2014.
