RIP: Lord Nelson Dead at 42

What a sad day....RIP big fella. You served Rutgers and other proudly. It is interesting that they will a fund dedicated to him for old horse research....42 is quite old for a horse

He retired in 2000. I think then Lord Esperanzo took over, but I think a new horse took over from him a few years ago. Whats the new ones name?

I remember that a Rutgers football player told the press that "Coach Graber wanted to shoot that horse" after the Army penalty. I'm glad to see that Lord Nelson lived a long life.

May he enjoy a romp in the Great Hayfield in the Sky. An equine legend. A Loyal Son.
