Basketball Rutgers Basketball outlasts Notre Dame 85-84 in Players Era overtime classic

Gutting out and surviving! Big growth step tonight. Its not all roses though...enjoy this for 18 hours. Certainly a slew of positives but concerns still linger that could hold this team back
Many concerns, but lots of positives - I can only imagine what it will be like when Harper and Ace are both on. It's the brutality of some of the criticisms, plus some really just bad takes that are my issue. I get it's a game thread so it's emotional, but some of the overreactions are ridiculous.

Nice win, no matter how you slice it. Lot of really bad takes and unnecessarily brutal criticisms in this thread; hopefully they stay here.
This was a crap nd team. The takes were generally accurate. We are not good. Dylan is awesome and we need more guys to step up…and we have an amazingly bad hole at the 5. We will struggle with good basketball teams.

Other interesting tidbit Ron Harper Sr after Dylans 2nd foul was working the head ref, lol.

This is where retirement rules. I have to get up by 10 am tomorrow, lol. A round of disc golf, an afternoon with our 17 month old niece, some shopping for TG and then dinner tomorrow night at our favorite restaurant, Salt, in NB, with our son and his fiancee and a dear friend of ours.
I was just going to postpone working on leaves to Monday but my truck was in the shop since last Thursday and Bac wanted to work,

Wonder how much we push Acuff tonight given he may still be recovering. Games 18 hours apart are not ideal for anybody.

Crazy to think Alacco and Martini were on campus at the same time during the offseason and we didn’t get that dude
He should have been offered a Ferrari and the entire Rutgers cheer team
I like your sense of humor.Allocco is the type of 3 point shooter Rutgers needs to complement Harper in the backcourt.

That was how this team is supposed to play and that was great. There is no reason this team with this talent should be a team that barely squeaks into the NCAA tournament. I want to be in comfortably with a decent seed

Dylan's vision is so good. Little things. Most guys take contested runner here. Some drop to the guy that just picked, on the roll, though would be contested. Dylan knows Williams is soft cutting from weak side, behind the pick and roll noise, and is the open guy.

That’s pass from the top to JWill for the corner 3 was a thing of beauty.

The 2nd foul was really a stretch by the way they were calling the game. The reffing in both games was very inconsistent. Missed some easy calls and called some real bad ones.

Nice observation.

ND isn’t a bad team and they can certainly hit the 3. ND has a lopsided win over an improving Georgetown program.
