Simpson does two things to make me think there might be something there and then he makes three of the worst plays I've ever seen.
He reminds me of one of the enormous backup centers that you see every March in conference tournaments like the CAA or SWAC.

That was horrible defense by Noah btw. What kind of defense is that keeping your hands by your sides? I assume avoiding a foul, but you can’t get hands up without committing a foul?
Gavin plays basketball like a guy who's spent 1000 hours in the gym: 999 hours shooting around and 1 hour of actual real life basketball.
At best GG may develop into a wing 3 point specialist. One dimensional and that dimension is not yet developed. But won’t happen here. Needs the right system and coach. Should enter the portal.
Some top program would take a chance and try to fix him…and probably succeed.

He had an open 3 look early and decided to drive instead and get it knocked out of bounds under the basket. His confidence has to be negative
I saw that he hasn't even removed his warm up pants.. not sure why he gets so much criticism, he's actually been playing well for this particular team. He can't be more than what he is and he has provided some good minutes at times. Just for the fact that he knows what he's doing out there..
