Rutgers agreed to pay a series of installment checks to Baum at his annual salary of $130,117 between Jan. 2 and March 31. The total cost of the 13 weeks is approximately $33,474, a figure that doesn't include vacation pay. Rutgers is also obligated to pay Baum a lump sum of $4,417 for his cost of continuing health care benefits through COBRA.
