Some continuing good news: Tyler is 4 years clean.

Yesterday, 12/20, marked 4 years since the end of Tyler's last chemo cycle. For those of you who didn't see him this fall, he's now as tall as I am. (Yeah, yeah, I know that's not saying much!) And continuing to grow. Overall he's doing well, although every now and then we have lingering issues which crop up.

Here's a shot of him and younger brother Corey from the Indiana tailgate:

DJ, that is the BEST NEWS to come out of 2016.

Congrats to your entire family!

Thank you everyone, and Happy Holidays to all of you!
Four years clean is a great milestone. Does he still go to meetings?
Yep, like clockwork every 6 months. Once he's there, he has to stand up and say: "Hello, my name is Tyler....." <Hi Tyler.> "...and it's been 97 days since I witnessed a Rutgers Football Victory."
Is the 5th year mark a significant milestone? Bring the survival rate to like 97%? A big congrats. Wonderful news for the holidays.
The big milestone was 2 years - up until then he was going in every 3 months for scans. After that the risk level is very low, so they have him do bloodwork every 6 months for several years, then go to once a year.
