Reports like this are a win win for the reporter. If he is right he looks cool and informed. If he is wrong no one remembers
GS had a hard time stopping spread offenses with OSU talent. Can't imagine what that would look like at RU now with everyone putting up points.

This is why schiano decided against the Pats job...
Schiano, Leipold, Butch. That's it. Schiano is our best option out of those three.
Remind me the last year we went to a bowl game and how many Schiano led us to.
schiano told ex coaches and friends he didnt want Beliechek to feel slighted as he was focusing on landing a HC job back in college.

I think that probably most, maybe all of us, have had negatively feelings about Greg for either his game day coaching and or for leaving us for the pros. Regardless, I don't see any better choice right now than him.
He may feel as I do, that he had a dream opportunity to move on when he did. He now has a second chance. Another dream opportunity to come back and do it all over again. But this time, he's older and wiser. He will bring great things with him. He will be our Knute Rockne. Sorry, for babbling on here. We all need something good to dream about. Fact is, I actually actually beleive there is no one, I mean NO ONE, who could do the job better here than Greg.

At this point it's Rutgers or nothing for Greg. Unless he wants to be a career DC. It's his best option. It's our best option. It couldn't be a better fit at this time.
A lot has changed at RU too. Can Schiano exist where he is the football coach and not the guy running the whole athletic department?
You can't trust a guy who ends tweets the same way that the President of the United States answers questions about whether or not he's going to invade a foreign country.
Greg should be very curious about where CA lands for his next stop, since that's clearly where he's going to be working after he gets fired from the Rutgers job in 2023.

Don't assume that...he could just as easily be an analyst at the Saban halfway house or somewhere else with max salary of 50K.
GS can stabilize the program and restore passion to the fan base. He will not win right away but no one else will either. Urban Meyer could not win immediately with this talent.
Wouldn't be surprised if he gets us to 6-6 next year.
Schiano will bring speed to the defensive unit and since he knows what type of players are needed to play in the big ten now , I believe if he is back here at ru things will be different in his approach .
But is that all he wants to do. He ran the department, to the detriment of other sports, when he was here last. That won't happen again.
I wouldn't guarantee the record but I think there are other coaches that could get us in the .500 area in a year or two. Look at Brohm at Purdue. Littrell got a 1 win UNT to 5 wins and bowl in his first year then 9 wins in his 2nd year. Scott Frost took a winless team to 6 wins and then undefeated in his first two years.
The only way out of this mess we're in right now is recruit, recruit, recruit. The O line and D line only became shambles from three straight years of piss poor recruiting. One guy can come in here and hits the ground running in that department and it's Schiano. Not Lance Leipold.
He's the only other coach that would be acceptable tbh. Don't know why he'd want to come here. I'm sure other programs would be way more attractive. He also doesn't bring instant hype to the program like Schiano.
Bring him in midseason and watch the fans come

In case you haven't noticed, Brown doesn't push the envelope on the BOG. He wanted GS a few times but GS didn't want to come back. That now may have changed.
He did what he had to do to get all of the peanuts of resources focused on his program. We now have plenty more $ and can address all programs. He doesn't need to to do all of what he did back then.
