Surprise surprise , Iowa complaining again

It's amazing that anybody from Iowa would complain about the officiating. It kept them in the game. I seemed like every time the Terps got rolling it was followed by Iowa at the free-throw line chipping away at the lead. Maryland was called for at least ten more fouls than Iowa was (not saying it was unfair), and Iowa scored a third of their points for the game at the foul line.

Not a good look for that kid. He whined about it when they lost in College Park last year, too...

Jordan Bohannon said that Anthony Cowen should have fouled out in the first half.

Bohannon can’t go by a stationary chair because he’s too slow so he resorts to pushing off and complaining when he doesn’t get a foul call

Did he really say that to the media ?!?

I’m curious .....

Yes he did. one of their best writers tweeted that he said it . Besides state penn , Iowa is my least favorite team and fan base at least in basketball . Bunch of soft whiney babies

I watched the end of that game, and no doubt, Rutgers would have been called for a foul on his last second shot. It was close, if not a foul. Until we get the rep of a winning team, those calls will go against us ,I'm afraid!!!

LOL at BooHoo Bohannan in the Fernando photo above... it’s an Opie playing the role of a thug (actually the push from behind is a punk move). These are the bitchezs that call 3 seconds in a pick up game.

Wish he played here

In my view there wasn't anything callable. And they got more than their share of calls to keep them in the game and be in a position to win it.

At some point players need to make plays instead of waiting for referees to bail them out (and instead of all five players watching Fernando tip in the game-winner, which he'd just done in the picture I posted).

I watched last night's Iowa-Maryland game very closely. Bohannon drives all the time with his left arm and elbow out front to push off. He does it every time. He is a good player but he doesn't need to whine.

Must learn it from their coach. Has Fran ever had a foul called against Iowa that he agreed with?

Another reason why we didn't have to double him and allow the inbounds pass - dumb call.

He tweeted it.

Edit: Wait, I'm wrong, somebody else tweeted that he said it. I guess he said it to the media.

Wonder if there is any repercussions coming from the big ten ...they don’t like coaches calling out the officials to the media ...let alone a college player

Not sure they can fine an unpaid player on schollie. Different relationship with the coaches.
