This weekends recruiting

Should there be any concern that we are having a number of recruits here being entertained, wined and dined, by a staff that knows they will not have a job here much longer

And, will a non committed recruit get all excited by a staff member almost knowing that person is not going to be here anyway?

Yes, I know the existing team members can do a lot here, and can make THE difference in some cases....

But without the head coach, without a staff the recruit comes to know better and bond with, I think the recruiting weekend won't be as effective as it should be

Not saying we should cancel, can't do that..... But we probably are losing a bit of what we do.

I guess it depends on who shows up. For some reason I thought it was only the early enrollees who are making their official visits and Ash already made house visits to them.

I think it's only the early enrollees that are coming as well, last thing you want is to have a coach that is on short time, how do you know he's not already received an offer to coach at another school, it would be conflict of interest. If the coach is not going to be retained, no reason to keep them any longer.

I'm thinking that at least one coach will be retained plus our new coach, and they will host the kids.

I bet he visited with the recruits he thought would be the leaders and asked them to keep the Rutgers recruits together. Any problems will be directly addressed by Ash.

4 coaches Campi, EJ Bartlet, our D-line coach and the new guy OSU special teams coach. most likely will be there with the most important academic staff who will do 80-90% of the show. BTW most important PLAYERS will be there as a meet and greet time

He might be in Columbus with Ash, plus EJ is the guy who has the relationship with the three. Either way it is not that big of a deal.
