Deflate-gate report released.

Brady "generally aware" of the wrongdoing. Wonder what the punishment will be.

Thanks for the link. Nice text exchanges between the ball boys:

Still has the hot wife and the 4 rings/tommy don't care...at all!!

243 pages? What a joke Goodell and the NFL are.

The part where the ball guy on multiple occasions texts "F_ _ k Brady" are hysterical. I am sure He was fired today.

No, it probably is not that big of deal, and doesn't effect the game that much. If it had no effect, however, Brady wouldn't be deflating the balls, so he has to have some culpability and accountability here.

His integrity has already been destroyed because he openly lied about it in a press conference. Really, he should have just come clean right away, said he didn't think it was that big of a deal, and probably would have paid a monetary fine and would have been done with.

Now, the clown Godell will have to do something. Heck, Woody Johnson just got fined $100k for mentioning Darrelle Revis before he became a free agent, what are they going to do to Brady who actually cheated, probably hundreds of times?

No evidence Bellicheck knew? We all know he knew, he has a history of cheating, but I guess he gets off the hook this time.

I say One game suspension and million dollar fine for the team.

Womp, womp. No hall of fame for ol' pretty boy (if the league had a shred of integrity left). No respect for a lying dickhole who cheated the game. Con Brady never even deserved to take the field this past February and still doesn't.

It has to be more than a single game. The texts show that this was done almost every game. Add in the fact that he lied to the investigators and look at what the NFL did to the Saints.

I mention in my post that he probably has been doing it multiple times before, but we will see what the NFL does. My prediction of a one game suspension is what I think will happen, but after lying and doing it for years, he probably should get 4 games. But Goodell will find a way to give him a very soft pat on the butt.

I agree he should get more, but this is the NFL with a clown in charge, so this is what I think will happen. He should get more, I agree.

this is all based on ignorance, by anyone who has never held a football in his or her meaty hands. the NFL doesn't care how the ball gets there, it just wants it to "get there." if the QB gets a better feel with a few less ounces of air, or a few more, so be it. besides the whole air thing came about for the kickers, never the qb. so grow up people. new england would have won that game using a coconut for a football!

My issue is his arrogance. His regular radio spot after the game where he was laughing and his "where do people come up with this stuff" attitude was beyond arrogant.

There is no dispute that NE would have won that game! But there is also no dispute that this was done in every game now. PLUS it's cheating, period. Did Tom Brady know the outcome BEFORE the game?? No! So he had his guys go ahead and cheat.
There is no defense of Tom Brady ' s action here. Please stop. You're the one being ignorant to the facts.

I think as a sports fan this doesn't really have anything to do with just Brady, it's the entire NFL....As a huge sports fan, from Goddell not even taking enough time to pronounce Marcus Mariota's name properly (he's only the 2nd pick of the draft), to the entire whole process or lack of investigation of this, to the burying of the Dez Bryant assault video, out of fear that "Jerrah Jones" money making machine in Dallas would be impacted.....it's just goes on and on.

The league and all sports push every envelope possible, to the point of fans even saying "when in Rome, do as other Romans do", as if to justify your favorite team winning.......but when you see other franchises like Patriots having a pattern of this (from Belicheck on down) and the thought that the NFL just was the best thing since sliced bread and still is....It's just not as great as we perhaps make it out to be.

Should be interesting to see if the Pats fumble ratio spikes upwards this coming season. As I understand it, they've been consistently the lowest fumbling team in the league by a wide margin.

http://www.sharpfootballanalysis.co...iots-mysteriously-became-fumble-proof-in-2007

It's theorized that a under inflated ball is easier to keep squeezed between the forearm and chest when running and, therefore, harder for defenders to tug on or punch out. They've had running backs whose fumble totals have jumped significantly after they left the Pats and went to other teams.

Now, it could be that Belichick is such a great coach that he prevents players from fumbling by using Jedi mind tricks. Or, perhaps the running backs have had a big advantage because they're holding onto an under inflated football.

And considering how huge turnovers are in determining the outcome of games ... well, should be interesting.

For some reason I still don't care about this.
Didn't care about this stupid "scandal" in January and still don't care about it now.

Yep. Really don't see the big deal and does not make any difference to me. Perhaps it's the Jets fans here all up in arms?

Really? Don't care about the integrity of the game? Brady cheated. All year. Not just in a single game.
Not a Jets fan here. Actually the Jets are the one team I never root to win.

I think this is kind of like pine tar. If they were the only ones doing it, its more serious, but I don't believe that is the case based on other QB reactions.

Also, did they actually prove Brady knew?

So much frothy righteous indignation...it's funny! This has been, is and will be a non-issue...a fine a "don't do it again" and come early sept no one will care when the patties start their SB defense...tada!

Really??? The Falcons lost a draft pick for pumping in sound. Don't you think this is worse as it actually affects performance?

The backlash by other teams if this happens (no suspension) will make it an even bigger story.

I expect a 4-game ban for Brady.

To me, the bigger issue is the pattern of disrespect for the rules of the game. Taken by itself, the ball issue is not that big a deal, but it seems that NE is more than comfortable stretching the rules to suit themselves. Remember the substitutions against the Ravens, which are now illegal. After spygate, you'd think they'd be more compliant, but it makes you wonder what else they are up to.

Some people can sleep at night secure that their achievements were based on honesty and hard work. I don't care how many rings he has or about his dumb wife--he's a cheater and a scumbag.
Not a pats fan and still yawn.

No, but Brady did not turn over texts or emails related to the issue. I'd say the circumstantial evidence is compelling. People have been sentenced to death on circumstantial evidence.

Yes ban him from football. Take away drivers licenses from anyone who speeds too. And don't forget to punish those who remove that tag from their mattress

You forgot to jail those who refill their medium drink instead of buying a larger size.

Oh god the defenders are out in force!

In roughly the same week, Brady got caught under-inflating, and Brian WIlliams got caught over inflating, so have them switch jobs for a week. Send Brady to Nepal, and make Williams QB a pre-season game. Then, get on with life. Get rid of the NFL rule. If you are going to let teams pick the pressure they want, then don't get fussy. Its football. Williams embellishments were tangental to the stories he was reporting on, and in my view is only fractionally as egregious as the BS news that gets delivered with a straight face daily by others.

Good try.

Every player and team tries to get an edge in everything. I remember more than once when Shananhan was coaching the Broncos they had to be sent into the locker room because they smeared themselves with stuff so the Dlinemen couldn't grab them. There was also the time that the Dolphins water the field before a playoff game vs the Jets. Teams cheat, players cheat, get over it. The fact that the NFL didn't keep the balls and gave them back to teams is just dumb.
