Never a doubt ... nice comeback to make it close ... now that they are not Top 25 maybe they’ll start winning again.Making it close ... RU is going for the offensive foul record ... hope PSU chokes the game away cause the refs will do their best.
I had turned the sound off, why did PSU get about 5 foul shots at end?
Tina NapierWho fouled Page at the end of the game?
Foul on 3 point shot and then technical foul on Coach Stringer.I had turned the sound off, why did PSU get about 5 foul shots at end?
Not really ... she would have made 2 of 3 and win 68-67CVS Technical...very very costly..coach has to control herself in that situation
I know Napier has been a thorn in our side. Which one of our players did she call the foul on?Tina Napier

Did you watch the game? Were all of those calls justified?Rutgers gave away 6 points on offensive fouls on made baskets.Scaife had only 10 points. This was a bad loss to a mediocre team because Rutgers had 19 turnovers.
I am obviously biased but the foul on the last 3 looked very soft. The officiating was typically poor most of the game. We must have been called for 6 offensive fouls at least 3 of which waved off made baskets. The press was effective but none of the officials was willing to count to 5 seconds on inbounds plays.Did you watch the game? Were all of those calls justified?
Thank you for that. Now I understand why C Viv. was so pissed. You DON'T call a foul with one second left in the game. You just don't. You let the kids play and have them decide the game and not at the foul line.I am obviously biased but the foul on the last 3 looked very soft. The officiating was typically poor most of the game. Certainly not a great game by us but the comeback to go ahead should not have been negated by a weak foul call with 1 second left by an officiating crew who did a terrible job the entire game.

Why not foul before she got the shot up? We only had two team fouls.
Brutal way to end the game. No reason it should have been that close, though. Can't ever let a game be within a possession, because the refs in women's basketball are so bad it becomes a coin flip.
I thought that the PSU defender flopped on several of those calls. There was also a travel call on PSU that could have been an offensive foul.Did you watch the game? Thanks Diana. I thought so. You know my feelings regarding officiating in the women's game. The officials either anticipate and call a foul before the foul actually occurs, or they're incredibly gullible. What's your take on the foul with one second left in the game. Should it have been called or like I believe, officials at that juncture shouldn't inject their own biases with the outcome of a game on the line?I thought that the PSU defender flopped on several of those calls. I know that in the mens games of football and basketball we always have to contend with the claim that the best programs and "name" coaches get the calls.. that its always like that and its something we have to overcome along with typical "home cookin"... but then we see a HoF coach and traditionally a very very good program with Rutgers womens basketball routinely get abused with calls. And it goes beyond the calls.. what about all those NCAA seedings and being sent on road games to lower seeded opponents home floors?... So.. what is it?
Very good point.Rutgers should have fouled as soon as the out of bound pass was made.Unused fouls were meant for instances like at the end of games to prevent the opponent from making a winning basket.that is a good point, i guess you worry that the girl will try to heave it up but its a good strategy
