FB Recruiting Transfer WR Naseim Brantley commits to Rutgers

oh boy dunk GIF

Welcome!

@koleszar - he's from Farmingdale and played for Howell. First Howell HS player to RU in a long time?
When did Howell or anywhere in Monmouth County become South Jersey?

“…a 6-4, 200-pound wide receiver from South Jersey,”

A Farmingdale native, Brantley starred for Howell high school…”

Someone send Todderick a map.

FFS, Farmingdale is north of the I-195, the unofficial North/South line, which isn't even correct. I-195 hits the Parkway at Exit 98, which is 12 miles north of the halfway point on Garden State Parkway.

"The designation of South Jersey with a distinct toponym is a colloquialism rather than an administrative definition and reflects geographical and perceived cultural and other differences between South Jersey and the northern part of the state.[1] South Jersey is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area, the seventh largest metropolitan region in the nation with 6.288 million residents as of 2020.[2]

Benjamin Franklin called the state "a barrel tapped at both ends".[3] South Jersey may be defined geographically as the area below I-195 that includes the state's lower seven counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem.
Many definitions of South Jersey include the southern portion of Ocean County, including Long Beach Island.[16][17]"

In April 2015, an NJ.com poll with 90,000 respondents asked readers to identify the communities in North, Central, and South Jersey. Barnegat, Eagleswood, Lacey Township, Little Egg Harbor, Long Beach Island, Ocean Township, Stafford Township, and Tuckerton were all voted as part of South Jersey. The Ocean County communities north of Lacey Township were considered to be part of Central Jersey. The northernmost communities of Burlington County was also voted part of Central Jersey.[18]

Yes ….. but why do we care if he goes to classes ? Enrolled sure. Many of schiano’s best players didn’t attend classes and we all want to see that success again. We need to emulate that type of player.
why did Flood go under cover to meet a professor if they didn’t need to attend classes? its not UGA, strip clubs isn’t a class at RU.

If OL makes improvement, we have a real chance at 6 wins. Favorable schedule could have us at 4-1 in first 5 games. Then winning 2 of 4 against MSU, Indiana, Iowa and Maryland gets us to 6 wins. Brantley is another piece to help us get there. The defense is good enough to win 6 games and if the OC can get us to put up 24+ points we have a shot at a bowl game.

Do you come here much? This is a potentially positive post about our football program. Not allowed at all. You can only post about things like Greg getting fat or using up too many seats at basketball games for recruits.
Now go and repent and come back when you're ready to only post the right things.

I think you may be right. End the drought!

You are confusing “going to class” and enrolling. These days sitting at a desk and sitting in a lecture hall are not the only way to go to class. Enrolling and going to class are two different things. And the current “going to class” that you suggest is not just for scholarship athletes.

Brantley sounds like a good start at rebuilding our corp of receivers. I'd love us to get a small quick receiver that can get separation and catch the ball. Remember Tim Brown?

He was used more as a running back as a freshman, but Rachad Rochelle may fit that bill. He is fast.
