Good thing I have both, lol...

I mean... yeah. The only option used to be to pay $175 for a all-inclusive cable package. Now you just have the option to personally package as many services as you desire, i.e. $85 for Hulu Live, $12 for BTN+, $6 for Peacock, $12 for Netflix, $13 for Prime, etc.
Or you have everything imaginable on cable, including every movie channel, plus internet and phone access for about $340/month and then, on top of that, you have every major streaming service for another $160 per month, so you have $500/month being wasted, lol.

I signed up for peacock for the football game... thinking hey, they'll probably be some good series' to watch as a consolation. Only 3 shows on the entire platform caught my interest...the Continental, twisted metal and the fresh prince reboot...continental and twisted metal were good, fresh prince too much soap opera drama not enough comedy...then I was done with the platform, I'll sign back up for Monday lol

BTN comes with the standard YouTube TV subscription + BTN overflow channels. I was stunned to see that, living in Florida as I do, but was damn sure happy about it.
it used to be an add-on but they figured out that just put it in there for everyone so they could justify another price increase from the original $35 of a few years ago.

Thanks, I was just looking at this exact thing last night. Guess I need a month of that crappy Peacock channel and BTN+ (which I find pretty good for the one month each year. Rutgers productions are not bad at all).

Of course had I known I would have bought the month to cover the Wisky football game a day later and it would have covered next Monday lol. Missed it by 1 day. Crapola. oh well.

Years ago, it seems like everyone had a neighbor (or in my case, a co-worker at Bell Labs) with some gizmo that got them free cable service or channels.
Is that same kind of thing (theft of service) going on with present-day streaming services?

Yes it's called a "fire stick".....ask around you'll find someone that sells the jailbroken ones...

I actually don't know if it gives you access to live sports...I just know it has all the shows and movies..

When you do, I'd highly recommend Poker Face. It's an homage to the old "murder of the week" crime series like Columbo, Baretta, etc. and very good. Paul T. Goldman is a reality/drama hybrid that is very hard to explain, but one of the more unique and bizarre shows I've seen. Based on a True Story is an entertaining murder/comedy show and Dr. Death, based on a true story and subsequent very popular podcast, was pretty good.

I actually watch Peacock more than my other streaming services because I rewatch the old sitcoms- The Office, Parks and Rec, Superstore, etc. while on the exercise bike or treadmill. Plus I can watch SNL on Sunday morning instead of staying up to watch on Saturday night,

Yeah. It's awesome. Set the DVR to record all Rutgers sports and that's it. I actually set it to record all college football as well. No searching for channels. It just records it for me. Then every game is listed in the completed section.
But the best part is the "watch key plays" option. I can watch a full game in 10 min via 35 or 40 key plays. It's awesome.
Isn't it great?!! Love being able to catch up on literally any game.

Calling Monday’s game are Paul Burmeister (play-by-play) and Tre Demps (analyst), who played collegiately at Northwestern from 2011-16 and twice earned honorable All-Big Ten honors as a point guard.

Coverage on Monday begins on Peacock with the B1G College Countdown pregame show at 6:30 p.m. ET, featuring host Ahmed Fareed alongside analysts Jordan Cornette and Josh Pastner.

Anyone know if you can stream the RU game on Peacock the next day (on demand)? Or is it a live broadcast only?

Yup. They are available within a couple hours and stay on there all season it appears.

The replay also has all the commercials edited out it seems.
