I think what he's trying to say is how the SL would questioned Rutgers like it's the end of the world and ask for everyone's head on a platter. Meanwhile, in other parts of the country most news organizations take a wait and see approach before making any judgment. Remember the bully incident that turned out quite different than what was originally reported. The SL made no real attempt to get fact before running with the story. Or how about reporting the story on Schiano's money from Nelligan Sports? The SL reported the story almost a year before some other SL reporters broke a new story as if this was ground breaking news. The failure to disclose the truth (original story) was damaging to Mulcahy job future.
