Curious as to how big of a crowd we'll have at the Court Club meeting this evening. With EJ and Hobbs both speaking, it should be pretty interesting, and it is the last CC meeting of the year. With the team's performance level in the dumpster, I'm wondering how much interest there still is in hearing what the leadership has to say. That said, I'll be there.

Do you guys think there is ANY chance EJ has to "miss" the meeting tonight?
It's not like anyone is gonna grill him. I'm sure Eddie will turn on the charm and some of the shills will actually walk out feeling good about the direction of the program.
My thought process was more in the direction of people asking Hobbs questions, about the future of the program, in front of Eddie.
I planned to fly in for it but I couldn't get a good fare on a flight to Newark.
It interesting because no one on the board will say directly to either Hobbs or Jordan what they post here hiding behind a keyboard...lol
If someone really wanted to know the truth they would ask Jordan about his defensive philosophy, especially about switching, going over/under picks or closing out on shooters and rebounding.
Someone would ask about his recruiting strategy and challenges faced on the recruiting trail, both out of state and instate.

People fall for it everytime. The most interesting thing to hear tonight is the facilities timeline
Why not ? Why not say the same things to him that are said on this message board ? For example: If you are so convinced that he is not teaching any kind of defense in practice....why not ask him what he teaches ??
There is a certain level of decorum at these types of meetings. Don't expect any hard hitting talk about coaching changes tonite.
As bac said those going to the meeting tonite should look for Facilities upgrade info from Hobbs and hopefully we will be happy with those comments.
Here's an example: "Coach Jordan, many fans have been frustrated by the defensive performance all year. Can you please provide us with some insights into your defensive philosophy that you reinforce in practice as it relates to pick/roll defense, weak side help defense, fighting through or switching on picks and denying 3 point shooters " ? Can you explain some of the steps taken to address these concerns?
Not hard hitting at all.........If people on this board don't think he teaches or knows how to teach these things in practice, this is a perfect opportunity to gather some information and come to you own conclusions based on facts.
Maybe he'll say...."I'm an offensive coach, we don't spend practice time on defense"......lol

These meetings are set up as feel good meetings. Not to be a dick to the coach.
Asking a coach to discuss his defensive philosophy is not being so-coached dick. It's a reasonable question that no coach would be offended if asked. If I was still living in Jersey I would go and ask....politely and respectfully. But, then again, I'm not a blowhard on a message board...lol
