WNBA 2024 Season thread

It's common in many sports, but I was referring to the "betting line".

Imagine last night's Liberty game and how many people would have counted on NY resting all the starters?
Then the Dream nabs the last playoff spot by beating the top team in the League.
Betting on teams that already made the playoffs and might not need a win to improve playoff position is a losing propitiation because of how those teams will be resting their starters and giving the back-ups more playing time than they would have received in a meaningful game.

What's bad is when a team decides to tank games to increase their chances to have a great lottery pick in the draft .
End of season games sometimes makes betting on them more of knowing which team came to play and which one is tanking or just saving players for the playoffs

It was intentionally done, but absolutely isn't the first time Clark was targeted.

WNBA officiating might be the worst of any pro sport.

League officials need to acknowledge what elevated their viewership and attendance numbers this season and "protect" that investment.
If Clark is injured because of this thuggery and misses extended playing time next season, there will be no more sellouts in any WNBA arena.
