Can we all just agree that the fact that times haven't been announced for this yet is a travesty, especially given how sensitive the fan base already is about this game?

So I'd be interested in hearing feedback from wrestling season ticket holders who are *not* football season ticket holders. What's their situation? From the outside looking in, they're being forced to buy tickets to a football game in the Bronx that they may not have any interest in.
And from the $40 seats they're not gonna see a damn thing on the mat.
I wonder if they would consider allowing fans to leave after wrestling and come back in for football.
If they did that, I'd probably go to the wrestling match. At least I could leave during the down time and head over to the Yankee Tavern for a sandwich and a couple of beers.
Just curious what the tailgate/pre-game experience is at Yankee Stadium? Thanks. $$$$I get it. If you are a wrestling fan, this is probably a great opportunity to watch wrestling and football. But in my 50+ years, I have never watched a college wrestling match. If Rutgers wanted me to check out wrestling, it would be easier to encourage me to go to a match at the RAC (or where ever they are) instead of showing up 3 hours early to a football game and giving up whatever tailgate/pre-game experience I could have at Yankee Stadium.
That's what I understand.Last heard no pass outs and returns
Once your in your in.
And you reply to complain about the others. Try not reading if it bothers you so much.Every time the Yankee Stadium game get mentioned the exact same group of chronic complainers show up with the same whine about the game, & most of these complainers are the same group that complain about everything. We already know how you feel, but the game will be played, so stop crying & stay home or come out and support your teams, really tired of hearing the same small group complain over & over & over again.
Right now it looks like a choice:Just curious what the tailgate/pre-game experience is at Yankee Stadium? Thanks. $$$$
That's what I understand.
But if they changed that rule ... allow you to scan out and then scan in again ... I'd be more interested in attending the wrestling match since I could go to a local bar during the downtime.
Let's say the FB game is at 3:30 and the wrestling match is 12:30-2:00. If I am stuck in Yankee Stadium, I'll probably get to the Bronx around 1:30 and hang out at a local bar until it is time to go to the FB game. But if I can leave Yankee Stadium, then I'd show up at 12:30 to check out the wrestling match, knowing that I can leave and still go to a bar/restaurant before the FB game starts.
Alternatively, if Rutgers had some sort of tailgate alternative in the stadium, which included real food, then I'd also probably go to the wrestling match and tailgate alternative.
To all the people whining about it....do yourself a favor and just don't go.
I can't wait for the wrestling match at the Stadium. Will be fun putting Maryland in their place....again.
To all the people whining about it....do yourself a favor and just don't go. The same 5 of you have been crying on the internet for 5 months now. We all get it. Those of us who are inclined to have fun, will even have fun!
The last time there our group of eight hit a diner two or three blocks up 161st St for food and $20 buckets of Sam Adams =$4 each. If I could leave and reenter
that would be my plan- go to wrestling, then the diner, then back for football. But unless half our group drops out we will not be seeing the wrestling match this year. What do they do about wrestling if it rains?

5 people crying?? LOL ! Guess again?

Hey dumb arse the overwhelming majority of RU season ticket holders said they don’t support ANY game at Yankee Baseball stadium . Show up and tell Hobbs “Thank you Sir may I have another “.
If we never go back it was worth it.I don't disagree. But this game is happening, and it has been complained about on these boards more than enough, IMHO. Its not going to change anything.
It can't possibly be complained about enough. And you don't know if continued complaining will change anything or not. I'm not taking any chances, so I'm going to continue to complain. I'm genuinely sorry for any inconvenience or irritation this might cause other fans.I don't disagree. Echo... echo... echo... :DSome people just love to hear themselves, must make them feel important or something, since they have nothing else of value to say!

Me too. I vastly prefer our home field for the great game-day environment it provides. But if this game were at MetLife, I'd be going. I'd still be pissed about it being bundled into season tix pricing, but I'd be going. This is exactly where I am.
I totally understand that if everyone decided to suck it up and go to the game, eventually somebody at Rutgers would interpret that as "they really like the idea" and sign up for it, again.
Tell ya what - I have no problems with an occasional game at MetLife. Hell, I'll go. It's a hike, but at least it's actually in New Jersey and has ample tailgating opportunity.

Also guessing if or when this ever happened the Giants and Jets would be paying US to play there and NOT the other way around.This.
What I can't comprehend is Rutgers posters who say they are season ticket holders (I'm calling BS) that keep defending this move.
I love watching the wrestling team at the RAC. The three of us try to make it at least twice a year. I don't understand why Pat Hobbs feels like this is a good idea considering the weather, seating and host of other issues, specifically cost. Just my thoughts.
Um what? Army bailed on their contract. Had two more and said no thanksArmy fans hate going to YankSta too - but they have to keep going because AD loves it. When applying for his next job 8 states away he'll get to show "Yankee Stadium" on his resume and the rubes will think its a big deal. Coaches can like it too since they can tell recruits they might play there. I don't even know if ticket sales matter since they are often giving tickets away at the end.

We are the only stupid ones to give up a home game for that crap. (BTW Im a lifelong Yankee fan going back to the late 60s and love the Stadium for baseball)Glad to hear it. No doubt having an empty stadium with no Army fans helped. They wouldn't even go to the ND game

Bronx isnt that close and a game at West Point is a million times better than at Yankee Stadium. West Point rocks!Army did it for ND in 2010. Then there were the Rutgers games. The last one got moved because of "conflict" (they said). After the second or third YS game in just a few years fans just lost interest even though Bronx is close.

Do you thibk the tv networks care about how RU fans feel? All college football games this one of year are given game times 6-12 days out.Can we all just agree that the fact that times haven't been announced for this yet is a travesty, especially given how sensitive the fan base already is about this game?
Wow. You are such a loyal fan! Do you have long arms to pat yourself on the back??...and I was one of the respondents who expressed opposition. I also sent a letter to Rutgers Athletics, and made my voice heard. I also can separate my dislike for a location with support of the program(s). I wish there were more unselfish fans like that.
