Wrestling coaching changes ahead at Pitt, Lehigh & Princeton?

Is Santoro leaving Lehigh for Pitt, his alma mater? Would Ayers then leave Princeton for Lehigh, his alma mater? Who would get the Princeton job? Impact on us & recruits?

that was an interesting article but I can't imagine there's any real pressure from Lehigh Alumni. a know a few supporters, not donor class guys but they are plugged in, and no one wants Santoro to go anywhere.

some theories for the story I heard (but I have no clue if there is any basis behind them whatsoever) were Santoro's wife is from Pittsburgh and they might want to move there, that Pitt folks planted the story because they want Pat, that Pat is chaffing with Strobel at the LVAC and EIWA and would like a change and maybe a pay raise, or maybe just some very low level alumni grumbling that the newspaper writer thought would make a good story (which it is, in any event).

but take all those with a grain of salt. my guess is Santoro stays but who knows. its post NCAAs so this will be the college wrestling news for a while.

I was surprised to read it. Clearly, someone has an agenda. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

I'd guess that the 3 that turned down Pitt weren't convinced about Pitt's dedication & support. Have you seen Pitt's wrestling room? Easily worse than ours as it has a wall for the boilers or something splitting the room in half so you cant even see both sides. Nonetheless, Gavin could be a good hire for them. I read a crazy rumor they wanted Rosselli.
