Couple of our recruits had some good test's last night and came out victorious.

Brett Donner who is ranked 2nd in State behind #1 Grello at 170 (Star Ledger/NJ.com) bumped up to wrestle the #3 ranked guy at 182 Niko Cappello and beat him 3-1. Cappello was 7th in State last year at 182.

Joe Grello wrestled #3 at 170 Spencer Carey and won 6-5, I believe he came back for the win. This was Grello's 100 career win.

Mulligan won as well. Mother Bergen C DJ played the Drop kick Murphys 'Going up to Boston ' as he approached the mat, lol. The Mackenzie-Kui bout was a good one, Kui won 3-2.

Bergen Catholic is out in California wrestling in The Doc Buchanan tournament. Bergen Catholic is ranked 2nd in Flowrestling and also in the tournament is #3 Buchanan and #4 Clovis.

Grello and Mulligan are both in the finals as the #2 seeds.

Grello will wrestle Jeremy Thomas of California the 1 seed who is committed to Oklahoma. Grello is 3-0 with 2 pins and 8-0 win.

Mulligan will wrestle Josh Hokit also from California and the 1 seed who is committed to Drexel. Mulligan is 4-0 with 3 pins and 6-0 win.

Yup. McKenzie was winning 4-0 at the time and riding his opponent, made a freshmen mistake of pulling the kid on top of him, gave up the reversal and got cradled up to his back not too long after giving up the reversal. Still alive in the wrestlebacks.

Beat the kid who pinned him in the 5/6 match 8-3

Met Grello's brother and sister about a month ago,in a Apple store.If this kid is anything like his siblings,we are going too have a classy kid,with a bright future.His brother seemed very excited for him.The family support thing is huge for a wrestlers success.

Grello won and Mulligan lost in OT to take 2nd. Great job by both kids.
