No doubt you guys still spank us. You have elite talent 149 and up. If Ashnault can wrestle we might take 1st 3 but can't compete 149 and up. I could see Mulligan upsetting McCutheon only other possibility and some fight out of Gravina and Lewis but Nolf and Nickal are just too good. Also Grello might be 165 starter but won't matter.
Yeah, the names I put in were just the guys who Wrestlestat has as the current starters. I really hope Ashnault can get back to wrestling this season, but I've got to be honest, a lot of the guys that do get back aren't 100%. They miss a lot of practice, lifting and even whatever cardio they do get just isn't the same as live action. That being said, I would love to see a healthy Ashnault v. either Lee or Cortez. That could be the best match of the night.

PSU is on a whole nother level and looks to stay that way with their incoming recruiting class. No one is debating that. However, im interested in a RU vs Iowa matchup.

With Suriano in Rutgers' lineup, Iowa could be toppled. Sort of depends on Ashnault's status. But figure on wins from Rutgers at 125 and 133, losses from 149-165, a winnable match at 174, Rutgers should win at 184. Give Iowa 197 for argument's sake and it could come down to 285. If Stoll is not back or not up to snuff, Gross could ice it for Rutgers. I would love to see that.

Why would he be talking about the secondary market when the primary market is still open? Better still, why would anyone go to the secondary market at inflated prices when the primary market is still open? To tell friends "I paid above face value when I didn't need to"?

I'm not quite sure why I'm wasting my time replying, but I believe most of our courtside seats (most of the 100 level possibly) are sold out. I'm sure somebody can check. Bill's saying that Stubhub has seats listed for the amounts he listed. At least 4 seats on Stubhub in the 100 seats sold for $150 each on that site. He's also encouraging people to buy season tickets and reserve their seats for the year, and telling people that there will be higher demand for various tickets as things get closer. Having the clear cut #1 team in the country coming in here to wrestle, with the Suriano thing on top, creates demand.

Do you just make up everything you post? Here's the actual pricing:

http://www.scarletknights.com/news/...-pricing-100-000-season-ticket-challenge.aspx

As Phila noted, he is talking about secondary market pricing for the PSU match. There will not be any lower level seats available for individual matches. They will all be held by season ticket holders. Indeed, there are only a handful available right now as a season ticket purchase, all of which are in the extreme corners -- and these are only available because the uppers are preferable. You really should avoid taking a lot of attitude in your responses when you don't have all the information.

You didn't clarify anything as you just offered contradictory information. One, how could Penn State approve the waiver if they didn't know the basis? Two, Penn State took no position on the waiver. They didn't oppose the waiver. There is an real statement on the position, not some fabricated nonsense. If what you said previously were true, the fact that the supposed opposition (again, not supported by any evidence) was given at the 11th hour (which is not belated, btw - that's something different. If you are required to give a response by a date and time certain, any time before that time is the same and timely) would have scuttled the waiver. That didn't happen either.

You've given multiple versions of the waiver process and none of them makes an iota of sense.

No u don't Billy... U keep on doing what u have been doing on this board for years!! All that asshat is doing is trying to troll u... We appreciate every lil nugget u pass on here!!
I find matter7172 hilarious, there aren't any season tickets left in the lower level. We got our extras back in March up to 6 now. Had several friends call us about season tickets this weekend after news broke, all we could get them were in the 200 level. So there's no way your calling up the school and getting their price for lower level seats. Should make for an even greater atmosphere this year at matches. It's going to be nuts.

Time to buy RU wrestling season tickets. Just for the Penn State match alone, lower levels are going for $200 and upper level $80 each. Season tickets is clearly a bargain so get going!
Yeah I'd love to go to that match. Bill, you don't mind if I crash on your couch after the match do ya? Lmao

Ticket question. Does anyone know when the Journeymen Northeast Duals tickets (Nov 11 & 12) go on sale?

You are more than welcome to stay in our guest room. Just let me know. Only one thing I insist on. No gloating after the match.
My first reaction was to say wow....im shocked by the offer. Thinking about it though, I'm really not....I knew you were a good guy and your reply doesn't surprise me one bit. I thank you but I couldn't impose. I will ask you and few others to meet pre or post match if I decide to make the trip. Would love to meet you guys.

Who was the national wrestling recruiting analyst that was quoted on twitter as saying that the Suriano to Rutgers thing had 0 chance of happening? I can't seem to find the tweet on the board that easily.

Christian Pyles from Flowrestling... He deleted it not long after posting it

Just looked through his twitter and he's still taking pot shots at Suriano.

CP is not taking pot shots at NS. he's also been plugged in to the story. he deleted the tweet saying NS is staying put when he got new info to the contrary. everything is tranquil between CP and the NS family.

Phila, please. Wasn't there an RU insider that was given cover here, because it was a fluid situation? If the situation was fluid for Bill, it was fluid for CP, too.

Weren't our multiple insiders correct? And aren't we currently posting on a Rutgers board? Of course there's some harmless bias here.

The website still lists tickets in the lower level. RU saying it's incorrect? It wouldn't necessarily surprise me. When I came to Rutgers for grad school with a TA years ago, the school didn't want to confirm my class schedule because my tuition hadn't been paid. Duh. I had a TA and my tuition was included as part of the compensation.

I was careful not to say sold out, because they aren't yet, but the last one available are 15 single tickets available in the extreme corner sections. Beyond the fact that they are singles, those sections are in a terrible location for wrestling. Most of the 200 level is better.

Well unless you consider single seat tickets and the last seats in the corner of the RAC still available, then yea they have season tickets available in the lower section. And not many at that. So if you want to go by yourself which would probably work for you since having friends might be a tall order, then yea those 15 available single seats the last one's in the corner are right up your alley. Me I prefer to be with 7 of my friends in the 200 level center mat. But to each his own I guess.

So when you said there aren't any, you meant there were some but not to your liking? People around here have a lot of problems with plain English. Bill is talking about the secondary market without saying he's talking about the secondary market. "Time to buy RU wrestling season tickets. Just for the Penn State match alone, lower levels are going for $200 and upper level $80 each. Season tickets is clearly a bargain so get going!" How does anyone know he's talking about the secondary market? He clearly doesn't say it. You say there aren't any tickets in the 100s when there are actually tickets. I've lived in NJ for over 30 years. Most people I know don't have this issue. When they say "zero", they mean "zero", not something else. If they are talking about tickets on Stubhub, they say "on Stubhub". Mocking someone because they don't understand poorly communicated information seems kind of ridiculous.

I had seats in the 100s dead center and didn't like them. Since they eliminated the center aisle, getting in and out of there is a nightmare. I also did the 200s for this season.

I guess next time I'll be more precise and say we are 99.98% full in the lower level. At that point aren't we just playing the semantics game. For all intense and purposes it's sold out. But if you want to cling to those 15 seats to make your point, fine. Just know this isn't the court room or law school and the majority of people in the plain English speaking world would say 99.98% is sold out. That is, except you of course.

I find Matter7172 fine for the board. Clearly PSU is his favorite team, and he nit picks about this and that, but he knows about RU wrestling. He probably cheers for RU against most schools.

I thought you should know I attended practice this morning and talked to all of the boys including a new arrival. I also talked to a "hammer" and his family. Let's see how good I am?
If you see spyker in your room, could you tell him BWI is sorry and to come back? :sunglasses:
