We played the number 13/15 team in the nation on their home court and had a lead with three seconds left for the kid hit a long buzzer beater to take us down. Super tough loss but all we get in the recap is criticism of the team. Not fair to the players. In my opinion, that is the juvenile mentality.
Bottom line it doesn't matter if the team loses by one point or by double digits.What maters is the team has a 14-15 record which means no NCAA bid and another likely losing season.Yes, referees can impact game results but so does poor defense and failure to make shots in the last minutes of games.A very concerning factor is the passive performance by Bailey and Harper at crunch time.If Sellers was on the court ,he would be screaming to the coaches and team mates to get him the ball.I want Bailey and Harper to take every shot except for put backs after missed shots.They have NBA talent and need to show it when it matters most.
Obviously you have never been on a sideline. It happens all the time. It's not malicious. It's working the refs. He was emphasizing how Pike was losing his cool. It's playing into the ego of the ref. Something as simple as laughing while saying to the ref "you know yo u got that one right Look at Pikes losing his shit."
Fools goal shooting and 3 fg last 11 minutes. No shows late and poor coaching. It would have been different if it was a slugfest team trading shots but it wasn't. 2nd half was slow death over last 11 minutes where Michigan totally outplayed RU outscoring them 22-8. Sorry I'm not focusing on that excellent play before that because the 11 minutes including the last play was the game

Did you watch the game? It was caught on camera. Dusty was laughing and joking with the refs and pointed in the direction of Pike. Dusty was openly working the refs. Thats how its done in the big games.
Yeah I've been reading commentary on how devastating it was to lose as a fan but I could only shake my head last night...this team lost me weeks ago. Last night was more of the same
At this point the regular season is over outside of consideration for whether we make the BIG tournament. In the big picture - last night’s outcome doesn’t matter much.
I will get pumped for the tournament, should we make it and consider it a fresh shot until we are eliminated.

Problem is coach who is outclassed by nearly all of his peers. Winning 5 in a row unless other teams feel confident in their place in March Madness is not in the cards. 2 lottery picks and a losing season.
So ND has a carved out spot set aside for independents(no true independent outside of them) in the playoff scenario, Also they can create their own patty cake schedule, if they desire, to insure playoff inclusion. Yet now ND feels inclined to join a conference? . Makes zero logical sense.
