This shot chart is a total indictment of steve pikiells lack of an offense

When you look at a dusty may offensive shot chart side by side with a steve pikiell shot chart, it really drives it home. There is no rhyme or reason to pretty much anything we do on offense. It’s street ball. It’s pick up basketball. Zero attempt at efficiency or trying to create high % looks.

Shits gotta change

Alternative explanation: one of the teams plays two offensively minded star centers, the other team is hurting in the post.

OT: NJ Golf season

Just wondering. Any olde tyme golfers ever play a course with sand greens? Pinehurst #2 was one when it opened. I did a couple times when I was in Missouri.

Found it strange but at least there weren't much break on putts.

I never played on one but there were a bunch when I was out in the Midwest. I believe I read in Golf or Golf Digest magazine there are still many courses with them.

Losing Cliff cost us the NCAA Tournament

Yup, this exactly. The reality is on D we’d be much better off with 2 cheap Shaq Doorson types and Ogbole splitting the minutes than what we have now. The issue though is next year we’re going to need to replace a lot of offense too, but it’s a lot cheaper to add that through other positions than the 5 spot. Shaq Doorson types wouldn’t be my plan A. Plan A should be what I said before - young MJ type. If we can’t afford one of those, the compromise becomes the guys who bring the defense but are more limited on offense. We need the D from the post more than the offense in my opinion.
At least Lathan gives us some us offense, and can be counted on for roughly 10 pts per game, and will likely be our #1 option at the 5, unless he leaves. Sure we will add other players, but they will be complementary. We’ll have to work with what we have.

OT: Things in sports that need to disappear

I don't agree. Much like watching a baseball game, you have to understand what's going on. I find it very beautiful.
Agree until a team parks the bus or the plane in the defensive end to grind out the game. That is not beautiful. Lots of teams do that. I like the total football style or the modern tiki taka take on it. I also like goals though.

OT: WOW… Pete Rose has died at the age of 83

Don’t know why people want to put in a degenerate gambler into the Hall of Fame when the clear rule of gambling on the sport was always communicated.

I also don’t understand why this president would focus on “pardoning” Rose when he was never convicted of federal crimes. You would think there are other big problems to work on in the first month in office- like the cost of groceries and a crumbling economy.
It is grand standing to his many that fall for this.

I usually just feel embarrassed every single time either of the last 2 presidents talk.

Your always the victim schtick is tiresome.
so is you following my posts around to reply like this. Not once did you bother to show me how my opinion on specific calls / nocalls mentioned was wrong. You just respond with this nonsense about how it makes you a better person than me because you don't complain about bad treatment by officials.

I applaud your willingness to be the victim and not complain and choose not to see the problem. if only countless hall of fame coaches agreed with you and never complained about officiating.

You manufacture this strawman of me to suggest I have a deep personality flaw where I am always the victim in order to suggest there is no unfair treatment by officials as cited by me. That is a pathetically weak argument.

Don’t get the cult started..

OT: WOW… Pete Rose has died at the age of 83

14 years old!
"Commissioner Rob Manfred is considering a petition filed by Pete Rose's family filed on Jan. 8 to have Major League Baseball's all-time hit leader posthumously removed from baseball's ineligible list, multiple sources with knowledge of the situation told ESPN Saturday.

Jeffrey Lenkov, a Los Angeles lawyer who represented Rose prior to his death at age 83 in late September, said he filed the reinstatement petition after he and Fawn Rose, the oldest daughter of Pete Rose, met with Manfred and MLB spokesman Pat Courtney in the commissioner's office on Dec. 17.

"The commissioner was respectful, gracious, and actively participated in productive discussions regarding removing Rose from the ineligible list,"
